After 5 played minutes Albertus FC got a freekick which was hit by Huib Stevens. 6 minutes into the match, Manly FC's John Aldridge sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Ted Stroobos narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Ted Stroobos made a fantastic save in the 10th minute, when Carmichael Carbery sent off a good shot on target. 11 minutes had been played when some careless play by Albertus FC's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Nilson Snabl was slow to take the kick. During this time Manly FC's players had a chance to rest. The corner ended in Nilson Snabl almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Albertus FC's Ted Stroobos did a great save. The supporters of Manly FC booed when Albertus FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 12 match minutes in a wonderful position. Christijan Brandsma didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 14th match minute, Manly FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Carmichael Carbery to maneuver through the defense. A collision led to Albertus FC getting a freekick after 16 minutes play. Nicasio Koldobika hit a great ball. In the game's 21st minute Albertus FC's Nicasio Koldobika took a hard shot from long distance, a kick which went into the net just to the right of Duncan Mcinnes and thus the score was 0-1. Ted Stroobos made a fantastic save in the 25th minute, when Carmichael Carbery sent off a good shot on target. Manly FC's attentive John Aldridge managed to snatch the ball when Niels Zwart made a throw-in in the 27th minute of the game. The supporters of Albertus FC booed when Manly FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 29 match minutes in a wonderful position. Carmichael Carbery didn't get a good kick on the ball. 31 minutes into the match, Ralf Saarloos notched a goal, 0-2, to the right of Manly FC's Duncan Mcinnes. Duncan Mcinnes was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Albertus FC's Ted Stroobos proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 36th minute of the match, managed to save Albertus FC from getting a goal against them. In the 37thth minute of the game John Aldridge who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Albertus FC's Ted Stroobos was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Duncan Mcinnes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ralf Saarloos in the 40th minute of play. After 42 minutes, Paz Trezise mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Manly FC and the Albertus FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Manly FC's Paz Trezise got a free kick in the 42nd minute. Christijan Brandsma missed a clear chance of a goal when in the 43 minute of the game fired away a shot, but unfortunally the ball went out to the Duncan Mcinnes right hand side. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Ted Stroobos showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Carmichael Carbery, who was totally free with the ball in the 52nd minute. Carmichael Carbery fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 54th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ted Stroobos having to interfere. Carmichael Carbery kicked well hit freekick during the 63rd minute of the match. Ted Stroobos didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from John Aldridge went, in the 65th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-2 was the resulting score. After some careless play in the Albertus FC defense, John Aldridge kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Ted Stroobos. The Albertus FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Ted Stroobos should have stopped the shot. Ted Stroobos showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from John Aldridge, who was totally free with the ball in the 73rd minute. In the 75th match minute, Albertus FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Zhou Kang Cheng to maneuver through the defense. Albertus FC's Ted Stroobos played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by John Aldridge in the 76th minute of play. The throw-in from Gertjan van Damme in the 88th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Manly FC's Andrew Robertson.
