If Calvin Townsley had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 17th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After having played for 19 minutes, Thomas-Jan Thomas managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Carlisle United's supporters crossed their fingers, but Thomas-Jan Thomas was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Jake Marriott scored 0-1 in the 20th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Michael Fridli, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Pat Rhéaume in the 23rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Tod Bridgeworth prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 26th minute of the match Oscar Erasmo shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Tod Bridgeworth showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Michael Fridli showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Calvin Townsley in the 29th minute of the match. Gerry Belisle could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 35th minute of the match, but Tod Bridgeworth made a huge save. Tod Bridgeworth took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Josias Morf, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With his leg Tod Bridgeworth managed to avoid a goal in the 39thth minute, when Zelg FC's Gerry Belisle fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Tod Bridgeworth came out of the goal in the 41st minute to try and stop a shot by Zelg FC's Josias Morf. But to his dismay, Josias Morf quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. Michael Fridli showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jake Marriott in the 46th minute of the match. Tod Bridgeworth took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Josias Morf, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Josias Morf to strike the kick off in the second half. Shane Tetley charged in rather forcefully in the 57th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Shane Tetley the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Shane Tetley hit a great freekick 57 minutes into the match. In the 58th minute Josias Morf shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tod Bridgeworth saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Michael Fridli took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Calvin Townsley, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Josias Morf in the 70th minute of play forced Carlisle United's goalkeeper Tod Bridgeworth to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Calvin Townsley had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 75th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a defensive mix-up in Zelg FC's zone, Calvin Townsley stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Michael Fridli came out of the goal and Calvin Townsley tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 80 minutes into the game, Zelg FC's Josias Morf nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Tod Bridgeworth made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-1. In the 82nd minute, Trey Hughes-Guy hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 85 minutes of play, Zelg FC's Josias Morf made it 3-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Tod Bridgeworth was left in no man's land by his defense there! Carlisle United's Calvin Townsley got a good chance for a goal in the 89th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Michael Fridli made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Calvin Townsley in the 91st minute of play.
