The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. The audience was convinced that Desiderio Cordarryl's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Wilson Arellano was relentless in the 6th minute of the game. In the 7th minute Sacro Balompié were awarded a corner. Fabian Goiz went to the cornerflag to take it. 9 minutes into the match, Recolta Alamor's goal looked a bit too open when Desiderio Cordarryl came free, but Wilson Arellano reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Luisito Arlo hit a great freekick 11 minutes into the match. Domingos Jaizki kicked well hit freekick during the 14th minute of the match. 15 minutes into the match, Sacro Balompié's goal looked a bit too open when Hans Kuhn came free, but Florencio Sesuldo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 16th minute, Leonardo Mel hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Elias Garoa charged in rather forcefully in the 20th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Elias Garoa the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 20 played minutes Sacro Balompié got a freekick which was hit by Elias Garoa. Florencio Sesuldo didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Rupert Simmons went, in the 21st minute, to the upper right corner, 1-0 was the resulting score. After 25 played minutes Sacro Balompié got a freekick which was hit by Fabian Goiz. Sacro Balompié's Florencio Sesuldo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Randall Jaramillo in the 26th minute of play. 31 minutes into the match, Sacro Balompié's goalkeeper Florencio Sesuldo had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Hans Kuhn. After 31 played minutes Sacro Balompié got a freekick which was hit by Fabian Goiz. Elias Garoa was shown his second yellow card after 35 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. Elias Garoa hit a great freekick 35 minutes into the match. 36 minutes into the match, Sacro Balompié's goal looked a bit too open when Randall Jaramillo came free, but Florencio Sesuldo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Genaro Leguizamón received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 37th minute. Wilson Arellano tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 39th minute, Nemesio Rodriguez ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Wilson Arellano was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. In the 45th minute Sacro Balompié were awarded a corner. Fabian Goiz went to the cornerflag to take it. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

In the 58th minute, Rupert Simmons made a precise shot to the right of Florencio Sesuldo. Sacro Balompié's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-1. 62 minutes into the game, Rupert Simmons cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-1. Florencio Sesuldo was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. When Desiderio Cordarryl came up free with the goalie in the 65th minute, the Sacro Balompié fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Desiderio Cordarryl couldn't finish the play. Nemesio Rodriguez's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 67thth minute, Wilson Arellano skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Tyson Helton took the ball and in the 71 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Florencio Sesuldo. Florencio Sesuldo dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 4-1. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Lucas Vargas during the 77th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 77 played minutes Recolta Alamor got a freekick which was hit by Lucas Vargas. Hans Kuhn hit a great freekick 79 minutes into the match. Sacro Balompié's Fabian Goiz got a good chance for a goal in the 80th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Nemesio Rodriguez hit a great freekick 82 minutes into the match. After 83 played minutes Sacro Balompié got a freekick which was hit by Nemesio Rodriguez. Rupert Simmons received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 84th minute. Florencio Sesuldo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Luisito Arlo's late challenge caught a Recolta Alamor's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Luisito Arlo helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Recolta Alamor booed when Sacro Balompié was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 86 match minutes in a wonderful position. Luisito Arlo didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tyson Helton in the 88th minute of play forced Sacro Balompié's goalkeeper Florencio Sesuldo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Recolta Alamor's Wilson Arellano played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Genaro Leguizamón in the 92nd minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Ken Hand during the 95th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The goalkeeper, Wilson Arellano, was totally fooled by Sacro Balompié's Fabian Goiz, who 96 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. Recolta Alamor's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
