Guido Christobal was slow to take the kick. During this time INTER de Córdoba's players had a chance to rest. The throw-in from Ramon Sustrai in the 26th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by INTER de Córdoba's Inocencio Locaio. Hernan Florian made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Herminio Guifre in the 31st minute of play. After 33 played minutes INTER de Córdoba got a freekick which was hit by Leo Enetz. In the 36th match minute, INTER de Córdoba was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cipriano Dalmu to maneuver through the defense. Alfredo Loren's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Hernan Florian read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 46th minute of play. INTER de Córdoba's Gonzalo Rutenio got a good chance for a goal in the 48th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. UPAU FC's Luciano Vigil was substituted for Jorge Claude. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Herminio Guifre to strike the kick off in the second half. After 56 minutes, Marcos Belasko mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the INTER de Córdoba and the UPAU FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Hernan Florian showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Herminio Guifre in the 57th minute of the match. Nereo Lia could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 58th minute of the match, but Hernan Florian made a huge save. In the 60th minute, Gaudencio Sandalio hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Hernan Florian came out of the goal and Alfredo Loren tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 76 played minutes INTER de Córdoba got a freekick which was hit by Gonzalo Rutenio. The supporters of UPAU FC booed when INTER de Córdoba was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 77 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cipriano Dalmu didn't get a good kick on the ball. 79 minutes into the match, INTER de Córdoba's goal looked a bit too open when Herminio Guifre came free, but Hernan Florian reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 86 played minutes INTER de Córdoba got a freekick which was hit by Leo Enetz. Hernan Florian made an important save on a dangerous shot by Herminio Guifre in the 87th minute. INTER de Córdoba's Ciriaco Gaitano suffered a fractured collar bone after 92 minutes and couldn't finish the game. When Primitivo Abascal fell near the penalty area in the 92nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored UPAU FC's protests and gave Primitivo Abascal a yellow card for diving instead. INTER de Córdoba made a substitution. Carolo Lalla replaced Ciriaco Gaitano. The supporters of INTER de Córdoba booed when UPAU FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 94 match minutes in a wonderful position. Primitivo Abascal didn't get a good kick on the ball. Hernan Florian made an important save on a dangerous shot by Herminio Guifre in the 97th minute. When Inocencio Locaio was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 97 minutes had been played.
