A beautiful save bye ViraLataCaramelo U18's goalie prevented a goal. Valdir Duarte came out of the goal in the 6th minute to try and stop a shot by Nova Iguaçu MZFC's Diego Cerezo. But to his dismay, Diego Cerezo quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. A collision led to Nova Iguaçu MZFC getting a freekick after 9 minutes play. Juvenal Novaes hit a great ball. A collision led to ViraLataCaramelo U18 getting a freekick after 10 minutes play. Ademir Matorin hit a great ball. Ademir Matorin struck a weak shot in the 12th minute. Lauro Varela didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for ViraLataCaramelo U18. Valdir Duarte made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Diego Cerezo in the 14th minute of play. Wellington Rezende hit a great freekick 18 minutes into the match. The Nova Iguaçu MZFC fans' excitement grew in the 24th match minute when Nova Iguaçu MZFC's Agnaldo Vargas looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-3 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. After some careless play in the ViraLataCaramelo U18 defense, Paulo Renato Souza kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Valdir Duarte. The ViraLataCaramelo U18 fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Valdir Duarte should have stopped the shot. 39 minutes into the match, ViraLataCaramelo U18's goal looked a bit too open when Agnaldo Vargas came free, but Valdir Duarte reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 42 minutes into the game, Nova Iguaçu MZFC's Agnaldo Vargas nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Valdir Duarte made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-5. In the 45th minute, Murilo Lopez hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Dudu Queiroz struck a weak shot in the 48th minute. Valdir Duarte didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Nova Iguaçu MZFC. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-5 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The wind increased when Agnaldo Vargas made the kick off in the second half. 52 minutes into the game, Agnaldo Vargas lined in a short shot 0-6 behind a frustrated Valdir Duarte. ViraLataCaramelo U18's Valdir Duarte played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Diego Cerezo in the 63rd minute of play. 64 minutes into the match, Nova Iguaçu MZFC's Paulo Renato Souza sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Valdir Duarte narrowly saved just below the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Luiz Guilherme Duarte in the 66th minute of play forced Nova Iguaçu MZFC's goalkeeper Lauro Varela to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Nova Iguaçu MZFC's Marcelinho Valle was substituted for Dudu Queiroz. Nova Iguaçu MZFC made a substitution. Vladimir Braga replaced Juvenal Novaes. 70 minutes into the match, Agnaldo Vargas dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Valdir Duarte, 0-7. Valdir Duarte was a little too slow when Diego Cerezo got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 76th minute. The score was now 0-8. Luizinho Neves fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 80th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Valdir Duarte having to interfere. Valdir Duarte made a fantastic save in the 86th minute, when Agnaldo Vargas sent off a good shot on target. After a rather tough play, ViraLataCaramelo U18's Reinaldo de Alcântara got a free kick in the 86th minute. ViraLataCaramelo U18's Valdir Duarte proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 89th minute of the match, managed to save ViraLataCaramelo U18 from getting a goal against them. In the 90th minute, Nova Iguaçu MZFC's Diego Cerezo dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 0-9. 93 minutes into the match Agnaldo Vargas climbed in front of goal and pressed up 0-10 in the right cross behind a totally surprised Valdir Duarte. When the match was over Nova Iguaçu MZFC could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than ViraLataCaramelo U18 throughout the match.
