A wasted opportunity for GuateFortín. GuateFortín were awarded a corner in the 5th minute after Arrows Academy FC's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Félix Moreno took the corner. After 13 minutes, Alberto Santamaria mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the GuateFortín and the Arrows Academy FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, GuateFortín's Alberto Santamaria got a free kick in the 13th minute. Carmelo Sandoval's late challenge caught a Arrows Academy FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Carmelo Sandoval helped the player get up and apologised. In the 30th minute, Alberto Santamaria hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Alfredo Hinguanzo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 33rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 34 played minutes Arrows Academy FC got a freekick which was hit by Grant Yeo. In the 36th minute, Patricio Alvarado ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Danny Oliver was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. Félix Moreno kicked well hit freekick during the 40th minute of the match. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

GuateFortín's Fidel Santana played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ron Westerby in the 68th minute of play. Fidel Santana took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ron Westerby, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 74th minute, Alberto Santamaria hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Ron Westerby had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 77th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. GuateFortín's Ricardo Mora was substituted for Franklin Henriquez. Fidel Santana made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Wes Bray in the 90th minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 92nd minute, Ron Westerby managed to get in a good position for a shot. Arrows Academy FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Ron Westerby was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Fidel Santana breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 95 minutes into the game, Ron Westerby cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-1. Fidel Santana was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in.
