Thomás Vaz had in the 13thth minute some difficulties stopping Bernabe Francis's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. Gaudencio Guifre could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 15th minute of the match, but Thomás Vaz made a huge save. If Fred Meirelles had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 18th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Carlos Alberto de Lara in the 19th minute of play forced Defensores del Tiki Tiki's goalkeeper Eliseo Elija to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Breno Ceresso had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 24th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 28th minute, Carlos Alberto de Lara hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Erasmo Beti fell near the penalty area in the 35th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Defensores del Tiki Tiki's protests and gave Erasmo Beti a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Milan da Freguesia F.C.'s Zé Roberto da Costa got a free kick in the 57th minute. Carlos Alberto de Lara received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Eliseo Elija came out and tried to block the shot, but Carlos Alberto de Lara slotted it home off the left post making it 0-2 in the 60th minute. The supporters of Defensores del Tiki Tiki booed when Milan da Freguesia F.C. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 64 match minutes in a wonderful position. Carlos Alberto de Lara didn't get a good kick on the ball. Milan da Freguesia F.C.'s Thomás Vaz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gaudencio Guifre in the 66th minute of play. After 72 played minutes Milan da Freguesia F.C. got a freekick which was hit by Gabriel Leme. In the 74th minute, Júlio Macedo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Thomás Vaz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Pastor Bernal in the 88th minute of play. Fred Meirelles could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 94th minute of the match, but Eliseo Elija made a huge save. After some fancy dribbling in the 96th minute, Carlos Alberto de Lara managed to get in a good position for a shot. Milan da Freguesia F.C.'s supporters rose to their feet, but Carlos Alberto de Lara was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Eliseo Elija breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The Milan da Freguesia F.C. supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Milan da Freguesia F.C. would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
