In the 11th minute, Julio Venceslao hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 12 minutes into the match, AP Tempo's Waclaw Pyrtek broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. 23 minutes into the match, AP Tempo's goal looked a bit too open when Prospero Cordarell came free, but Zbyszek Smolarek reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Zeledon Oro hit a great freekick 24 minutes into the match. Ruperto Figueroa stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Dawid Ciechocki's shot from short distance in the 25th minute. Napoleon Kajfasz struck a weak shot in the 31st minute. Ruperto Figueroa didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for AP Tempo. If Napoleon Kajfasz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 36 minutes into the match, Yala's goalkeeper Ruperto Figueroa had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Napoleon Kajfasz. Zbyszek Smolarek made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Moises Bermund in the 38th minute of play. After the first half Yala were leading 0-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Moises Bermund to make the kick off. 52 minutes into the match, Yala's Bonifacio Romero sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Zbyszek Smolarek narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 53 minutes into the game, Moises Bermund cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-4. Zbyszek Smolarek was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 56th minute, Modesto Raitin hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Prospero Cordarell sent away a hard shot on goal in the 58th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Napoleon Kajfasz came up free with the goalie in the 66th minute, the AP Tempo fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Napoleon Kajfasz couldn't finish the play. Zbyszek Smolarek stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Prospero Cordarell's shot from short distance in the 75th minute. Moises Bermund's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Zbyszek Smolarek firmly grabbed it by the left post. Kazimierz Jarosz's late challenge caught a Yala's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Kazimierz Jarosz helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Yala booed when AP Tempo was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 84 match minutes in a wonderful position. Kazimierz Jarosz didn't get a good kick on the ball. The crowd rose to their feet as Yala's Bonifacio Romero slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Zbyszek Smolarek. That made the score 0-5 after 87 minutes of play. Zbyszek Smolarek made an important save on a dangerous shot by Moises Bermund in the 91st minute. After a rather tough play, Yala's Moises Bermund got a free kick in the 93rd minute. After some careless play in the Yala defense, Dawid Ciechocki kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Ruperto Figueroa. The Yala fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Ruperto Figueroa should have stopped the shot. The Yala supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Yala would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
