The referee showed Pierre-Emmanuel Decamps the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 11 played minutes Real Sociedad got a freekick which was hit by Pierre-Emmanuel Decamps. Eberhardt Martinov's late challenge caught a Real Sociedad's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Sean Farcinsen in the 28th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Marco Ginola prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 31 minutes into the match, Real Sociedad's goal looked a bit too open when Sean Farcinsen came free, but Marco Ginola reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The Injuries fans' excitement grew in the 36th match minute when Injuries's Sean Farcinsen looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Sean Farcinsen recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 44th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Sean Farcinsen stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After 52 minutes, Gaël Moutard mouthed his way into the referee's book. Eddi Ramkilde who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 91stth minute tested the skills of Marco Ginola when he managed to save the team from getting behind. In the 94th minute, Injuries's Wagn Teirup ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Marco Ginola. Marco Ginola yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-7. Injuries's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
