The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 8 minutes into the game, Dean Costermans was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. FC Bruges's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Crosmayo FC the free kick. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Erwin-Alexander Kerselaers stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. When Jonathan Rufio fell near the penalty area in the 86th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Crosmayo FC's protests and gave Jonathan Rufio a yellow card for diving instead. Jonathan Rufio hit a great freekick 87 minutes into the match. The Crosmayo FC players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
