The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After a defensive mix-up in 100 Chance's zone, Pedro Luís Saldanha stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Arlindo Siqueira came out of the goal and Pedro Luís Saldanha tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 14 minutes into the match, Mundial EC's goal looked a bit too open when Roberto Gerber came free, but Ruy Arce reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Leonardo Rosado received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Arlindo Siqueira came out and tried to block the shot, but Leonardo Rosado slotted it home off the left post making it 1-0 in the 18th minute. After a rather tough play, Mundial EC's Leonardo Rosado got a free kick in the 21st minute. Ruy Arce didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Naldo Marquez went, in the 22nd minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. In the 26th minute, Laerte Goiano hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ruy Arce showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Roberto Gerber, who was totally free with the ball in the 31st minute. A collision led to Mundial EC getting a freekick after 33 minutes play. Ramiro Madureira hit a great ball. If Roberto Gerber had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 34th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 39th minute, Pedro Luís Saldanha hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 43rd minute Pedro Luís Saldanha shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Arlindo Siqueira saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 100 Chance were furious when Ian Silva was red carded, 43 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 42nd minute of the game. One of 100 Chance:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Mundial EC:s goal. The goalkeeper, Arlindo Siqueira, was totally fooled by Mundial EC's Mauro Senna, who 45 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-1.

The wind increased when Anselmo Sampaio made the kick off in the second half. 51 minutes into the match, Anselmo Sampaio notched a goal, 3-1, to the right of 100 Chance's Arlindo Siqueira. Arlindo Siqueira was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 100 Chance's Arlindo Siqueira played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Leonardo Rosado in the 55th minute of play. 100 Chance were awarded a corner in the 64th minute after Mundial EC's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Naldo Marquez took the corner. The corner ended in Naldo Marquez almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Mundial EC's Ruy Arce did a great save. After 65 minutes, Anselmo Sampaio mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Mundial EC and the 100 Chance players grew even worse after the yellow card. Mundial EC's Ruy Arce proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 67th minute of the match, managed to save Mundial EC from getting a goal against them. After a rather tough play, Mundial EC's Anselmo Sampaio got a free kick in the 69th minute. Vicente Nogueira hit a great freekick 72 minutes into the match. 74 minutes into the match, Pedro Luís Saldanha had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Arlindo Siqueira. 100 Chance's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Pedro Luís Saldanha was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 4-1. Mundial EC's Ruy Arce played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Roberto Gerber in the 79th minute of play. The supporters of Mundial EC booed when 100 Chance was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 80 match minutes in a wonderful position. Anselmo Tande didn't get a good kick on the ball. 86 minutes into the game, Anselmo Sampaio cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 5-1. Arlindo Siqueira was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Arlindo Siqueira showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Chicão de Brito in the 95th minute of the match.
