In the 13th match minute, Palmares Futebol Clube was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gerson da Rocha to maneuver through the defense. Titus Leonz stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Joãozinho Pernambucano's shot from short distance in the 17th minute. In the 23rd minute Joãozinho Pernambucano shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Titus Leonz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Joãozinho Pernambucano who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 24thth minute tested the skills of Titus Leonz when he managed to save the team from getting behind. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cafu Donato in the 28th minute of play forced Zelg FC's goalkeeper Titus Leonz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Titus Leonz was out of position in the 36 minute of play, and Gerson da Rocha capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Gerson da Rocha really showed his touch with that goal: 3-0. Zelg FC's Titus Leonz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Joãozinho Pernambucano in the 39th minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Joãozinho Pernambucano in the 89th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Titus Leonz prevented the ball from getting in the gole. An unexpectedly hard shot by Joãozinho Pernambucano in the 93rd minute of play forced Zelg FC's goalkeeper Titus Leonz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 94 minutes into the match, Alfredo Botelho notched a goal, 8-0, to the right of Zelg FC's Titus Leonz. Titus Leonz was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Palmares Futebol Clube's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
