Roy Bennet might have been able to make a better finish in the 11th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Jimmy Nord. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Roy Bennet ran back to his position shaking his head. The audience was convinced that Roy Bennet's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Jimmy Nord was relentless in the 14th minute of the game. In the 20th minute, Roy Bennet ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Jimmy Nord was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. After 25 minutes, Tord Vennerdal mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Protegéerna and the A.C. GöstasHjältar players grew even worse after the yellow card. A.C. GöstasHjältar's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Protegéerna the free kick. Tim Tingberg hit a great freekick 27 minutes into the match. If Tim Tingberg had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 31st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Holger Johnsson kicked well hit freekick during the 33rd minute of the match. The Protegéerna fans' excitement grew in the 37th match minute when Protegéerna's Roy Bennet looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-3 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. After a rather tough play, Protegéerna's Rickard Bergfeldt got a free kick in the 47th minute. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-3 lead.

Mattias Ekeroth kicked well hit freekick during the 82nd minute of the match. Jimmy Nord made a fantastic save in the 85th minute, when Roy Bennet sent off a good shot on target. Jimmy Nord made an important save on a dangerous shot by Roy Bennet in the 86th minute. The A.C. GöstasHjältar supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Protegéerna's performance. The match ended with a win for Protegéerna.
