The crowd rose to their feet as Red Reign's German Vedeja slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Albérico Vilaverde. That made the score 1-0 after 2 minutes of play. After 7 minutes, Francisco Bettencourt mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the SC Braga and the Red Reign players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 7th match minute, SC Braga was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Francisco Bettencourt to maneuver through the defense. German Vedeja sent away a hard shot on goal in the 10th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a defensive mix-up in SC Braga's zone, Javier Barricat stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Albérico Vilaverde came out of the goal and Javier Barricat tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Francisco Bettencourt fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 23rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Garcia Cerrabe having to interfere. After 26 minutes of play, SC Braga's Francisco Bettencourt made it 2-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Garcia Cerrabe was left in no man's land by his defense there! Cássio Osório sent away a hard shot on goal in the 29th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Javier Barricat had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 32nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 37th minute, Red Reign's Javier Barricat dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 3-1. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 3-1.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for German Vedeja to strike the kick off in the second half. 53 minutes into the game, German Vedeja cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 4-1. Albérico Vilaverde was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 57th minute, Hurtado Roman hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Albérico Vilaverde took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Héctor Neli, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Moisés Álvares charged in rather forcefully in the 62nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Moisés Álvares the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 62 played minutes SC Braga got a freekick which was hit by Moisés Álvares. Garcia Cerrabe took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Francisco Bettencourt, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Albérico Vilaverde showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Héctor Neli, who was totally free with the ball in the 82nd minute. In the 85th minute German Vedeja shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Albérico Vilaverde saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 86th minute Francisco Bettencourt shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Garcia Cerrabe saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A collision led to Red Reign getting a freekick after 88 minutes play. Calisto Lape hit a great ball. In the 89th minute, SC Braga's Pedro Avelar dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 4-3. 93 minutes into the match, German Vedeja notched a goal, 5-3, to the right of SC Braga's Albérico Vilaverde. Albérico Vilaverde was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After 95 played minutes Red Reign got a freekick which was hit by Aragón Cercalde.
