In the 17thth minute of the game Paschalis Kitsas who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Red Reign's Garcia Cerrabe was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After 21 minutes, Filippos Markos mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the AFC Ajax and the Red Reign players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 21st match minute, AFC Ajax was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Filippos Markos to maneuver through the defense. After a defensive mix-up in AFC Ajax's zone, German Vedeja stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Thanasis Iliopoulos came out of the goal and German Vedeja tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The supporters of Red Reign booed when AFC Ajax was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 24 match minutes in a wonderful position. Nestoras Xanthopoulos didn't get a good kick on the ball. Red Reign's Garcia Cerrabe proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 26th minute of the match, managed to save Red Reign from getting a goal against them. AFC Ajax's Thanasis Iliopoulos played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Héctor Neli in the 28th minute of play. Pavlos Samaris hit a great freekick 34 minutes into the match. After a rather tough play, AFC Ajax's Pavlos Samaris got a free kick in the 40th minute. In the 41st minute of the match Uzuri Graña sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Thanasis Iliopoulos skillfully saved the ball. Nontas Livaditis who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 46thth minute tested the skills of Garcia Cerrabe when he managed to save the team from getting behind.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. German Vedeja was the one to do the kick off. After 54th play minutes Paschalis Kitsas shot 1-0, a short shot which went by Garcia Cerrabe and just under the crossbar into goal. In the 60th match minute, Red Reign was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Hurtado Roman to maneuver through the defense. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Garcia Cerrabe showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. 64 minutes into the game, AFC Ajax's Paschalis Kitsas nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Garcia Cerrabe made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-0. Garcia Cerrabe took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Giannis Rafailakis, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. AFC Ajax's Giannis Rafailakis got a good chance for a goal in the 68th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Javier Barricat hit a great freekick 71 minutes into the match. After 79 minutes, Nestoras Xanthopoulos mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the AFC Ajax and the Red Reign players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 79th minute, Nestoras Xanthopoulos hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 82nd minute, German Vedeja reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Thanasis Iliopoulos. The goal made the score 2-1. Garcia Cerrabe took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Giannis Rafailakis, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a rather tough play, AFC Ajax's Dorotheos Tsiamakis got a free kick in the 95th minute. 96 minutes into the match, Red Reign's Uzuri Graña broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The AFC Ajax fans cheered their team off the field, for while Red Reign had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
