Lars Norberg made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Faas Wilkes in the 7th minute of play. Vykans Vikingar were awarded a corner in the 8th minute after spikarna's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Fernan Berart took the corner. Marcus Ekrot showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sven Nordkvist in the 15th minute of the match. Through an outstanding action, after 17 minutes, Marcus Ekrot successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Marcus Ekrot made an important save on a dangerous shot by Kaj Hård in the 19th minute. Lars Norberg took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Faas Wilkes, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 28 played minutes spikarna got a freekick which was hit by Kaj Hård. Vykans Vikingar's Faas Wilkes got a good chance for a goal in the 34th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 39th minute, Kaj Hård reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Marcus Ekrot. The goal made the score 1-0. The supporters of spikarna booed when Vykans Vikingar was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 41 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alessandro Micucci didn't get a good kick on the ball. Marcus Ekrot showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sven Nordkvist, who was totally free with the ball in the 42nd minute. Sven Nordkvist recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 47th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Sven Nordkvist to make the kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Faas Wilkes in the 55th minute of play forced spikarna's goalkeeper Lars Norberg to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 59 minutes into the match, spikarna's goal looked a bit too open when Fernan Berart came free, but Lars Norberg reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 61st minute Atakan Pepe shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marcus Ekrot saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 64 minutes of play, spikarna's Sven Nordkvist made it 2-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Marcus Ekrot was left in no man's land by his defense there! An unexpectedly hard shot by Kaj Hård in the 71st minute of play forced Vykans Vikingar's goalkeeper Marcus Ekrot to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Lars Norberg made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jose Indalecio in the 73rd minute of play. In the 76th minute, Jose Indalecio left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Vykans Vikingar fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-1. Vykans Vikingar made a substitution. Fredrik Asserlindh replaced Elliott Bogren. Vykans Vikingar's Genaro Remicio was substituted for Faas Wilkes. After taking down the ball on Vykans Vikingar's corner Fernan Berart fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Lars Norberg quite easily take care of the ball. Lars Norberg stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Genaro Remicio's shot from short distance in the 86th minute. Marcus Ekrot stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Kaj Hård's shot from short distance in the 89th minute. In the 91st minute Sven Nordkvist shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marcus Ekrot saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Atakan Pepe sent away a hard shot on goal in the 94th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Many of Vykans Vikingar's supporters were seen to leave the ground early as it became clear their team was going to lose. Vykans Vikingar may have spent more time on the ball, but spikarna were more willing to take their chances and they walked away with the win.
