Rui Furlan didn't get a good kick on the ball. Doriva Meirelles sent away a hard shot on goal in the 6th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The audience thought a goal was coming when Tomé Garcia got free with Zé Vieira in the 8th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Jaime Arantes kicked well hit freekick during the 9th minute of the match. 11 minutes into the match, ☯S̴K̴Y̴ ̴D̴R̴A̴G̴O̴N̴S̴™☯'s goal looked a bit too open when Adilson Ramalho came free, but Giuseppe Veiga reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 14th minute Cacá Mesquita shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Giuseppe Veiga saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Giuseppe Veiga came out of the goal in the 14th minute to try and stop a shot by Inazuma Japan's Cacá Mesquita. But to his dismay, Cacá Mesquita quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. 17 minutes into the match, ☯S̴K̴Y̴ ̴D̴R̴A̴G̴O̴N̴S̴™☯'s goal looked a bit too open when Abelardo da Fonseca came free, but Giuseppe Veiga reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Doriva Meirelles in the 18th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Giuseppe Veiga prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Adilson Ramalho kicked well hit freekick during the 20th minute of the match. A collision led to ☯S̴K̴Y̴ ̴D̴R̴A̴G̴O̴N̴S̴™☯ getting a freekick after 23 minutes play. Rui Furlan hit a great ball. In the 25th minute Inazuma Japan were awarded a corner. Doriva Meirelles went to the cornerflag to take it. In the 30thth minute of the game Doriva Meirelles who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but ☯S̴K̴Y̴ ̴D̴R̴A̴G̴O̴N̴S̴™☯'s Giuseppe Veiga was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After 31 minutes, Kiko Vasconcelos mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the ☯S̴K̴Y̴ ̴D̴R̴A̴G̴O̴N̴S̴™☯ and the Inazuma Japan players grew even worse after the yellow card. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Doriva Meirelles in the 35th minute a chance for a shot on goal. Giuseppe Veiga made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Doriva Meirelles in the 38th minute of play. 40 minutes into the match, Doriva Meirelles had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Giuseppe Veiga. ☯S̴K̴Y̴ ̴D̴R̴A̴G̴O̴N̴S̴™☯'s manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Doriva Meirelles was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-3. In the 46th match minute, Inazuma Japan was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Erasmo de Sena to maneuver through the defense.

Giuseppe Veiga stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Doriva Meirelles's shot from short distance in the 52nd minute. In the 54thth minute of the game Doriva Meirelles who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but ☯S̴K̴Y̴ ̴D̴R̴A̴G̴O̴N̴S̴™☯'s Giuseppe Veiga was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. A collision led to Inazuma Japan getting a freekick after 60 minutes play. Joel Magalhães hit a great ball. Zé Vieira showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tomé Garcia, who was totally free with the ball in the 63rd minute. In the 64th minute, Jaime Arantes hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After some fancy dribbling in the 67th minute, Cacá Mesquita managed to get in a good position for a shot. Inazuma Japan's supporters rose to their feet, but Cacá Mesquita was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Giuseppe Veiga breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Doriva Meirelles received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 68th minute. Giuseppe Veiga tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Adilson Ramalho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 70th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Giuseppe Veiga stood somewhat misplaced when Doriva Meirelles came free in front of goal and shot 0-4 to the left of him in the 71 minute. When the match clock showed 76 minutes, the score became 0-5 when Doriva Meirelles sped through ☯S̴K̴Y̴ ̴D̴R̴A̴G̴O̴N̴S̴™☯'s defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Giuseppe Veiga. 89 minutes into the match, Inazuma Japan's Abelardo da Fonseca sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Giuseppe Veiga narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Doriva Meirelles didn't have the luck on his side when he, from a short distance, got a opportunity for a shot on goal in the 93rd minute. The shot missed the goal on the right side and Doriva Meirelles ran dejectedly back to his position. Inazuma Japan's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
