After having played for 15 minutes, Deng Yue Zhen managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Batalhão do Peçanha's supporters crossed their fingers, but Deng Yue Zhen was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Severino Vergílio was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Deng Yue Zhen showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-0 in the 21 minute of play. In the 26th minute, Batalhão do Peçanha's Epaminondas Baba ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Severino Vergílio.
