Edson Bertassi stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Umberto Dionísio's shot from short distance in the 15th minute. In the 17th minute Magno Pereira shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Edson Bertassi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 21 minutes into the match, Castanheiro SC's goal looked a bit too open when Rogério Alcântara came free, but Pedrinho Guimarães reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The Carrapichel - FDFDF fans' excitement grew in the 26th match minute when Carrapichel - FDFDF's Abel de Barros looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Umberto Dionísio struck a weak shot in the 32nd minute. Edson Bertassi didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Castanheiro SC. After 35 played minutes Castanheiro SC got a freekick which was hit by Umberto Dionísio. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Magno Pereira in the 36th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Edson Bertassi prevented the ball from getting in the gole. When the match had gone on for 36 minutes, Magno Pereira put it in 1-1 from a short distance just to the right of Edson Bertassi. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Fellipe da Silva during the 46th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Castanheiro SC getting a freekick after 46 minutes play. Fellipe da Silva hit a great ball. Disappointed in the 1-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Acácio Neto stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. If Anísio Alagoano had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 54th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 56 minutes into the match, Castanheiro SC's goal looked a bit too open when Acácio Neto came free, but Pedrinho Guimarães reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Edson Bertassi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Magno Pereira in the 80th minute of play. In the 81st match minute, Carrapichel - FDFDF was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Kléberson Camargo to maneuver through the defense. After 86 played minutes Castanheiro SC got a freekick which was hit by Edinho Pirani. After 90 minutes of play Castanheiro SC's Fellipe da Silva was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. Acácio Neto blasted a shot towards the goal in the 92nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Pedrinho Guimarães having to make a save. Pedrinho Guimarães showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Acácio Neto in the 98th minute of the match. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Castanheiro SC had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
