Silvestre Franco showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rafael Sidoro, who was totally free with the ball in the 7th minute. When Florentino Veronica fell near the penalty area in the 7th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Caballeritos del Baile's protests and gave Florentino Veronica a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Tello AFC booed when Caballeritos del Baile was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 7 match minutes in a wonderful position. Florentino Veronica didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 9 minutes of play, Tello AFC's Rafael Sidoro made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Silvestre Franco was left in no man's land by his defense there! Braulio Lehior fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 15th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dionisio Matia having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Eduardo Endura in the 18th minute of play forced Tello AFC's goalkeeper Dionisio Matia to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Caballeritos del Baile's Silvestre Franco played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Emilio Colas in the 20th minute of play. Braulio Lehior fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 21st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dionisio Matia having to interfere. In the 23rd minute, Marcelino Etxahun hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Dionisio Matia showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Eduardo Endura, who was totally free with the ball in the 24th minute. Silvestre Franco took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Emilio Colas, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 37 played minutes Caballeritos del Baile got a freekick which was hit by Bruno Sabin. 45 minutes into the game, Rafael Sidoro cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-2. Silvestre Franco was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Emilio Colas to strike the kick off in the second half. A collision led to Tello AFC getting a freekick after 52 minutes play. David Hustaz hit a great ball. Vladimiro Bartoli, 53 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. Florentino Veronica blasted a shot towards the goal in the 54th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Dionisio Matia having to make a save. Rafael Sidoro could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 56th minute of the match, but Silvestre Franco made a huge save. The audience was convinced that Filiberto Meder's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Dionisio Matia was relentless in the 57th minute of the game. Dionisio Matia showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Eduardo Endura in the 60th minute of the match. When Silvestre Vermudo came up free with the goalie in the 93rd minute, the Tello AFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Silvestre Vermudo couldn't finish the play.
