The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Silverio Tadzio recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 4th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Paulo Romelio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 10th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 14th match minute, RB Chubut was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Eusebio Juvenal to maneuver through the defense. In the 20th minute, RB Chubut's Anselmo Arias seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Anselmo Arias the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of RB Chubut protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Anselmo Arias had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. A collision led to RB Chubut getting a freekick after 21 minutes play. Anselmo Arias hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ruben Dolfo in the 23rd minute of play forced RB Chubut's goalkeeper Astor Transito to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 25th match minute, RB Chubut was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tomás Chico to maneuver through the defense. La Gallardeta's Modesto Teodor couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 26th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for RB Chubut. RB Chubut's Astor Transito played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ruben Dolfo in the 28th minute of play. In the 30th minute Rodolfo Goito shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Astor Transito saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 35 minutes into the game, La Gallardeta's Rodolfo Goito nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Astor Transito made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. In the 38th match minute, La Gallardeta was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Aureliano Frasquito to maneuver through the defense. Aureliano Frasquito kicked well hit freekick during the 47th minute of the match.

The wind increased when Gabríel Batistuta made the kick off in the second half. After 55 played minutes RB Chubut got a freekick which was hit by Silverio Tadzio. After 56 played minutes RB Chubut got a freekick which was hit by Domingos Argoitz. Astor Transito made a fantastic save in the 58th minute, when Ruben Dolfo sent off a good shot on target. After 61 minutes, Tomás Chico mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the RB Chubut and the La Gallardeta players grew even worse after the yellow card. Tomás Chico hit a great freekick 61 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Leonides Pancho in the 62nd minute of play forced RB Chubut's goalkeeper Astor Transito to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. RB Chubut's Astor Transito played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rodolfo Goito in the 66th minute of play. The supporters of La Gallardeta booed when RB Chubut was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 67 match minutes in a wonderful position. Javier Petri didn't get a good kick on the ball. With a little luck, RB Chubut's Astor Transito got control of the ball when Ruben Dolfo tried to sneak it across the goal line. Silverio Tadzio recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 77th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Astor Transito showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Paulo Romelio in the 87th minute of the match.
