The referee ignored Simbo FC's protests and gave Teodoro Havier a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of ATLETICO MENDOZA booed when Simbo FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 6 match minutes in a wonderful position. Teodoro Havier didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Simbo FC's zone, Edgardo Estebano stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Octavio Lauaxeta came out of the goal and Edgardo Estebano tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Octavio Lauaxeta showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Claudio Eudoxio in the 16th minute of the match. Simbo FC's Gaudencio Dubardo suffered a sore thigh after 18 minutes and couldn't finish the game. Higinio Frisco charged in rather forcefully in the 18th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Higinio Frisco the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Simbo FC's Iker Oskarbi was substituted for Gaudencio Dubardo. Higinio Frisco hit a great freekick 20 minutes into the match. In the last second Serafin Ralondo throw himself and got hold of the ball when Victoriano Banegas in the 21stth minute from his position got away a shot towards the right post. 23 minutes had been played when some careless play by ATLETICO MENDOZA's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Tiburcio Enetz was slow to take the kick. During this time Simbo FC's players had a chance to rest. Simbo FC's Tiburcio Enetz was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Serafin Ralondo in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. An unexpectedly hard shot by Justino Estevez in the 28th minute of play forced Simbo FC's goalkeeper Octavio Lauaxeta to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Octavio Lauaxeta took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Justino Estevez, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Claudio Eudoxio in the 30th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Octavio Lauaxeta prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Octavio Lauaxeta showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Claudio Eudoxio in the 34th minute of the match. When ATLETICO MENDOZA's Claudio Eudoxio in the 35th minute got a chance for a shot 35th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Iker Oskarbi hit a great ball. In the 42nd minute Victoriano Banegas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Serafin Ralondo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 47th minute, Mauricio Jurdan got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Victoriano Banegas made a kick off. Tomas Juvenal struck a weak shot in the 52nd minute. Serafin Ralondo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Simbo FC. Mauricio Jurdan fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 53rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Serafin Ralondo having to interfere. Victoriano Banegas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 59th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Serafin Ralondo having to interfere. Abelardo Corderun hit a great freekick 61 minutes into the match. After 64 played minutes ATLETICO MENDOZA got a freekick which was hit by Higinio Frisco. In the 67th minute, Iker Oskarbi hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 72nd minute, Tiburcio Enetz sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and ATLETICO MENDOZA's Serafin Ralondo didn't even have to move. Melchor Eztebe kicked well hit freekick during the 74th minute of the match. 77 minutes into the match, ATLETICO MENDOZA's goal looked a bit too open when Victoriano Banegas came free, but Serafin Ralondo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of Simbo FC booed when ATLETICO MENDOZA was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 94 match minutes in a wonderful position. Edgardo Estebano didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 95th minute, Tiburcio Enetz managed to get in a good position for a shot. Simbo FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Tiburcio Enetz was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Serafin Ralondo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The second half was just like the first, even and exciting. The match ended in a draw.
