Calamuchita's Wilfredo Figueroa was substituted for Rodolfo Bezerra. 83 minutes had been played when some careless play by C.A. Calamuchita's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Witalis Maruda was slow to take the kick. During this time Sportivo Ben Hur's players had a chance to rest. Sportivo Ben Hur's Witalis Maruda was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Florian Kicia in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. In the 88th minute of the match, Truls Kirkemo got a very nice opportunity to score, but Montrell Harrell was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. When Villegas Ferragudo fell near the penalty area in the 89th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Sportivo Ben Hur's protests and gave Villegas Ferragudo a yellow card for diving instead.
