Marcelo Vidal came out of the goal in the 18th minute to try and stop a shot by Albiceleste F.C.'s Cipriano Estebano. But to his dismay, Cipriano Estebano quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Virgílio de Almeida in the 27thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Hugo Quintana, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Marcelo Vidal took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tomás Avellaneda, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 34 minutes into the match, Cipriano Estebano had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Marcelo Vidal. Vasco Mineiro FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Cipriano Estebano was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. Albiceleste F.C.'s Hugo Quintana played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Virgílio de Almeida in the 39th minute of play. Nestor Nabar received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 45th minute. Marcelo Vidal tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Virgílio de Almeida stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 61 minutes into the game, Cipriano Estebano lined in a short shot 0-3 behind a frustrated Marcelo Vidal. 66 minutes into the match, Vasco Mineiro FC's goalkeeper Marcelo Vidal had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Nestor Nabar. 75 minutes into the match, Albiceleste F.C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Joel Furlan came free, but Hugo Quintana reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Nestor Nabar came free with the goalkeeper in the 88th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Marcelo Vidal could save by the left post. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Albiceleste F.C. had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
