Hugo Alkvist showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nils Dortāns in the 5th minute of the match. Hugo Alkvist came out of the goal in the 8th minute to try and stop a shot by FC Riga's Marin Ailenei. But to his dismay, Marin Ailenei quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. After having played for 11 minutes, Nils-Åke Lundström managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Libeccio Grif's supporters crossed their fingers, but Nils-Åke Lundström was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Marin Ailenei sent away a hard shot on goal in the 20th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Hugo Alkvist didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Marin Ailenei went, in the 20th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-5 was the resulting score. Nils Dortāns fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 23rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hugo Alkvist having to interfere. In the 26th minute, Lino Fauria hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 27th minute, Nils Dortāns got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Kent Kvarnström received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 28th minute. Saivis Kikals tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Saivis Kikals made an important save on a dangerous shot by Kent Kvarnström in the 32nd minute. The FC Riga fans' excitement grew in the 35th match minute when FC Riga's Marin Ailenei looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-6 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Saivis Kikals took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sven-Oskar Pilberg, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Hugo Alkvist made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Marin Ailenei in the 38th minute of play. The supporters of FC Riga booed when Libeccio Grif was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 40 match minutes in a wonderful position. Nils-Åke Lundström didn't get a good kick on the ball. The audience was convinced that Marin Ailenei's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Hugo Alkvist was relentless in the 41st minute of the game. If Marin Ailenei had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 44th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Sven-Oskar Pilberg to make the kick off. Marin Ailenei let the left foot speak when in front of goal in the 53rd minute shot 0-7 at rihgt post. 56 minutes into the game, Nils Dortāns cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-8. Hugo Alkvist was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. When the match had gone on for 59 minutes, Marin Ailenei took a quick shot and it went in 0-9 without a chance for Hugo Alkvist to make any attempt to save it. In the 62nd minute, Marin Ailenei ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Hugo Alkvist was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-10. Libeccio Grif's defense didn't have a chance, in the 67th minute, when Marin Ailenei scored to the left of an out of position Hugo Alkvist, making the score, 0-11. The supporters of FC Riga booed when Libeccio Grif was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 71 match minutes in a wonderful position. Göran Åkesson didn't get a good kick on the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Marin Ailenei in the 81st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Hugo Alkvist saved Libeccio Grif from getting behind. A hard shot 82 in the game by Marin Ailenei from a close distance when the talented Hugo Alkvist managed to make a qualified save. Libeccio Grif's players were relieved. After a rather tough play, FC Riga's Laimiņs Veterbergs got a free kick in the 87th minute. A collision led to Libeccio Grif getting a freekick after 90 minutes play. Wasyl Kaszubik hit a great ball. When Lino Fauria fell near the penalty area in the 93rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Libeccio Grif's protests and gave Lino Fauria a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Libeccio Grif's Lino Fauria got a free kick in the 93rd minute. In the 93rd minute, Jimmy Svenningsted got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When the match was over FC Riga could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Libeccio Grif throughout the match.
