In the 17th minute the ball was on its way in behind Formentera's goalkeeper Amanda van der Sar, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Horacio Cordeiro in the 18th minute of play forced KaoS Futbol Club's goalkeeper Pierluigi Buffon to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of KaoS Futbol Club booed when Formentera was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 21 match minutes in a wonderful position. Fausto Cresencio didn't get a good kick on the ball. Jacob Albuquerque's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Amanda van der Sar read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 22nd minute of play. A collision led to Formentera getting a freekick after 31 minutes play. Esteve Cordareo hit a great ball. After 41 played minutes Formentera got a freekick which was hit by Amador Modestio. 47 minutes into the match, Jacob Albuquerque notched a goal, 1-0, to the right of Formentera's Amanda van der Sar. Amanda van der Sar was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Fabio Monte to make the kick off. When the match had gone on for 64 minutes, Jacob Albuquerque put it in 4-0 from a short distance just to the right of Amanda van der Sar. In the 67th minute of the match, Fabio Monte tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Pierluigi Buffon saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line.
