Spectators: 152 (Terracing: 114, Seating: 35, VIP seats: 3) After 4 played minutes Övertorneå RK got a freekick which was hit by Jens-Ola Ståhlberg. Harry Karlsson could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 8th minute of the match, but Martin Munter made a huge save. Håkan Hård scored 0-1 in the 15th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Stefan Målare, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fabian Fager in the 18th minute of play forced Övertorneå RK's goalkeeper Stefan Målare to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When the match had gone on for 19 minutes, Håkan Hård put it in 0-2 from a short distance just to the right of Stefan Målare. Jens-Ola Ståhlberg took the ball and in the 22 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Martin Munter. Martin Munter dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-2. In the 37th minute of the match Hartlepool got a corner. Övertorneå RK's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Håkan Hård ran over to the corner to take the kick. Hartlepool's Håkan Hård was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Stefan Målare in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Hartlepool were awarded a corner in the 38th minute after Övertorneå RK's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Håkan Hård took the corner. It was a well-played corner which Håkan Hård managed to volley towards the net. Unfortunately, he didn't get a great hit on the ball and it went out into the grandstand. Fabian Fager took the ball and in the 42 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Stefan Målare. Stefan Målare dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-5. In the 45th minute Håkan Hård shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Stefan Målare saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The Övertorneå RK players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Hartlepool were winning 1-5.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Jens-Ola Ståhlberg made a kick off. 57 minutes into the game, Håkan Hård lined in a short shot 1-6 behind a frustrated Stefan Målare. Ernst Fribäck kicked well hit freekick during the 60th minute of the match. Stefan Målare stood somewhat misplaced when Fabian Fager came free in front of goal and shot 1-7 to the left of him in the 62 minute. Hartlepool's Håkan Hård was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 68th play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. 71 minutes into the match, Jens-Ola Ståhlberg had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Martin Munter. Hartlepool's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Jens-Ola Ståhlberg was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-8. Harry Karlsson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 74th minute. Martin Munter tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ernst Fribäck charged in rather forcefully in the 75th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Ernst Fribäck the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Ernst Fribäck hit a great freekick 75 minutes into the match. In the 77th minute Ralf Rask shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Stefan Målare saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 79 minutes of play, Hartlepool's Fabian Fager made it 2-9 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Stefan Målare was left in no man's land by his defense there! 83 minutes into the game, Fabian Fager cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-10. Stefan Målare was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 87th minute, Jens-Ola Ståhlberg got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 88th minute, Filip Flink managed to get in a good position for a shot. Hartlepool's supporters rose to their feet, but Filip Flink was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Stefan Målare breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. An unexpectedly hard shot by Håkan Hård in the 91st minute of play forced Övertorneå RK's goalkeeper Stefan Målare to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When the match was over Hartlepool could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Övertorneå RK throughout the match.
