A collision led to JKs Talanger getting a freekick after 14 minutes play. Christodoulos Kyriakidis hit a great ball. When JKs Talanger's Kjell Åkesson in the 17th minute got a chance for a shot 17th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Robíño Football Club's goalie prevented a goal. The throw-in from Henrik Ekgren in the 18th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by JKs Talanger's Sergio Dacio. Kjell Åkesson blasted a shot towards the goal in the 19th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Per-Erik Biörk having to make a save. The audience thought a goal was coming when Kjell Åkesson got free with Per-Erik Biörk in the 19th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Kjell Åkesson's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Per-Erik Biörk read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 22nd minute of play. JKs Talanger's Stig Wästerberg played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Patrik Giliusson in the 24th minute of play. Per-Erik Biörk made an important save on a dangerous shot by Kjell Åkesson in the 30th minute. Stig Wästerberg made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Patrik Giliusson in the 36th minute of play. In the 38th minute the ball was on its way in behind Robíño Football Club's goalkeeper Per-Erik Biörk, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Kjell Åkesson took the ball and in the 42 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Per-Erik Biörk. Per-Erik Biörk dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. Per-Erik Biörk showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Kjell Åkesson, who was totally free with the ball in the 46th minute. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

Robíño Football Club's Kent Bergkvist was substituted for Edgar Stenman. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Patrik Giliusson was the one to do the kick off. The supporters of Robíño Football Club booed when JKs Talanger was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 52 match minutes in a wonderful position. Godo Munk didn't get a good kick on the ball. Thanks to some nice moves Allan Berglund could shoot a difficult shot in the 54th minute, which Stig Wästerberg however easily saved by the left post. With a little luck, JKs Talanger's Stig Wästerberg got control of the ball when Kent Bergkvist tried to sneak it across the goal line. Kjell Åkesson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 67th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Per-Erik Biörk made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Kjell Åkesson in the 67th minute of play. Stig Wästerberg took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Calle Jakobsson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Stig Wästerberg showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Calle Jakobsson in the 72nd minute of the match. Per-Erik Biörk stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Kjell Åkesson's shot from short distance in the 74th minute. Per-Erik Biörk didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Kjell Åkesson went, in the 76th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-1 was the resulting score. JKs Talanger made a substitution. Karl-Magnus Harlén replaced Kjell Åkesson. 82 minutes into the match, Robíño Football Club's goal looked a bit too open when Karl-Magnus Harlén came free, but Per-Erik Biörk reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Calle Jakobsson took the ball and in the 85 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Stig Wästerberg. Stig Wästerberg dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-2. In the 93rd minute of the match JKs Talanger got a corner. Robíño Football Club's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Karl-Magnus Harlén ran over to the corner to take the kick. Rodrigo Lindø hit a great freekick 96 minutes into the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Kent Bergkvist got free with Stig Wästerberg in the 97th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. JKs Talanger had won after a very even match.
