Spectators: 205 (Terracing: 154, Seating: 47, VIP seats: 4) Protegéerna's Roy Bennet started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After some careless play in the Honung defense, Roy Bennet kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Egon Olsson. The Honung fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Egon Olsson should have stopped the shot. 10 minutes into the match, Honung's goal looked a bit too open when Bertil Glad came free, but Egon Olsson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Honung's Patrick Björkkvist got a good chance for a goal in the 13th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. André Palmquist made a fantastic save in the 15th minute, when Daniel Örnberg sent off a good shot on target. André Palmquist showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Marcus Jakobsson, who was totally free with the ball in the 17th minute. In the 28th minute, Gabrijel Perišić hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The audience thought a goal was coming when Patrick Björkkvist got free with André Palmquist in the 31st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 34 minutes into the match, Protegéerna's goalkeeper André Palmquist had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Daniel Örnberg. In the 37th minute, Daniel Örnberg made a precise shot to the right of André Palmquist. Protegéerna's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-1. 43 minutes into the match, Marcus Jakobsson dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of André Palmquist, 3-1. In the 46th minute of the match, Daniel Örnberg got a very nice opportunity to score, but André Palmquist was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Patrick Björkkvist to strike the kick off in the second half. Protegéerna's André Palmquist played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Patrick Björkkvist in the 54th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ivar Bäckman in the 59th minute of play forced Honung's goalkeeper Egon Olsson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of Protegéerna booed when Honung was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 72 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alfred Vikström didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Jakob Utter fell near the penalty area in the 78th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Honung's protests and gave Jakob Utter a yellow card for diving instead. In the 78th match minute, Honung was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jakob Utter to maneuver through the defense. Ivar Bäckman sent away a hard shot on goal in the 80th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Bertil Kilstedt's late challenge caught a Honung's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. After a defensive mix-up in Protegéerna's zone, Sven-Olof Grubb stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. André Palmquist came out of the goal and Sven-Olof Grubb tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 87 played minutes Protegéerna got a freekick which was hit by Bertil Kilstedt. Jan-Olof Bröms kicked well hit freekick during the 89th minute of the match. After having played for 95 minutes, Marcus Jakobsson managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Honung's supporters crossed their fingers, but Marcus Jakobsson was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Honung's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
