Spectators: 205 (Terracing: 154, Seating: 47, VIP seats: 4) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Dorel Pipirig started the match with the kick off. The audience thought a goal was coming when Grigore Blăniță got free with Iacob Biriș in the 6th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Filip Pantiș sent away a hard shot on goal in the 7th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 7th minute Filip Pantiș shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Iacob Biriș saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Iacob Biriș made a fantastic save in the 10th minute, when Grigore Blăniță sent off a good shot on target. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Dorel Pipirig in the 15th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Eustacio Sotero saved Eintracht Cernavoda from getting behind. The Eintracht Cernavoda fans' excitement grew in the 18th match minute when Eintracht Cernavoda's Filip Pantiș looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Filip Pantiș received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 21st minute. Iacob Biriș tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 26 minutes into the match, Eintracht Cernavoda's Filip Pantiș sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Iacob Biriș narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Eintracht Cernavoda's Cristi Dulca quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Adrian Angheluță, made in the 27th minute of the game. Mihăiţă Jder hit a great freekick 28 minutes into the match. Thanks to some nice moves Grigore Blăniță could shoot a difficult shot in the 32nd minute, which Iacob Biriș however easily saved by the left post. In the 35th minute Dorel Pipirig shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Eustacio Sotero saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A collision led to Carpathians getting a freekick after 38 minutes play. Adrian Angheluță hit a great ball. The supporters of Carpathians booed when Eintracht Cernavoda was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 47 match minutes in a wonderful position. Grigore Blăniță didn't get a good kick on the ball. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Filip Pantiș to strike the kick off in the second half. Eustacio Sotero made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Salvatore Schillaci in the 55th minute of play. Adrian Angheluță kicked well hit freekick during the 58th minute of the match. Eintracht Cernavoda made a substitution. Codrin Izbașa replaced Viorel Plăcintă. In the 59th minute, Adrian Angheluță hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Iacob Biriș showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Codrin Izbașa in the 63rd minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Codrin Izbașa in the 69th minute of play forced Carpathians's goalkeeper Iacob Biriș to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Dorel Pipirig in the 73rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Eustacio Sotero prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Iacob Biriș showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Filip Pantiș, who was totally free with the ball in the 75th minute. After a rather tough play, Carpathians's Horaţiu Encuțescu got a free kick in the 78th minute. Eintracht Cernavoda's Gigel Tănăsocă was substituted for Grigore Blăniță. 84 minutes into the match, Carpathians's goal looked a bit too open when Gigel Tănăsocă came free, but Iacob Biriș reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Salvatore Schillaci could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 88th minute of the match, but Eustacio Sotero made a huge save. Carpathians's Dorel Pipirig got a good chance for a goal in the 89th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Iacob Biriș took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gigel Tănăsocă, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Gigel Tănăsocă in the 92nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Iacob Biriș prevented the ball from getting in the gole. With 93 minutes on the clock, Anton Beton commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. In the 92nd minute, one of Carpathians:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Carpathians. Carpathians:s Iacob Biriș showed great skill when he stopped Mihăiţă Jder:s penalty. Carpathians's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
