Maurits Weinhardt kicked well hit freekick during the 28th minute of the match. Pheonix FC's Torbjørn Præstensgaard got a good chance for a goal in the 36th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Holger Laanelepp in the 41st minute of play forced Pheonix FC's goalkeeper Viggo Herngaard to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Kevin Naaskel made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nils Taffenberg in the 48th minute of play.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Jaanus Latt to make the kick off. Pheonix FC's Runar Hårdell got a good chance for a goal in the 52nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 54 minutes of play, Peningi Spartak's Adolf Vallik made it 4-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Viggo Herngaard was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 57th minute Holger Laanelepp shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Viggo Herngaard saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Pheonix FC's Viggo Herngaard played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Adolf Vallik in the 59th minute of play. Valder Birkedal struck a weak shot in the 61st minute. Kevin Naaskel didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Pheonix FC. 68 minutes into the match, Pheonix FC's goal looked a bit too open when Jaanus Latt came free, but Viggo Herngaard reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Adolf Vallik came up free with the goalie in the 76th minute, the Peningi Spartak fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Adolf Vallik couldn't finish the play. In the 77th minute Jaanus Latt shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Viggo Herngaard saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some careless play in the Pheonix FC defense, Adolf Vallik kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Viggo Herngaard. The Pheonix FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Viggo Herngaard should have stopped the shot. 84 minutes into the match, Pheonix FC's goal looked a bit too open when Jaanus Latt came free, but Viggo Herngaard reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
