Les diables noirs's Martial Laude played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Felix Laget in the 5th minute of play. Fabien Nunes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mario Vauzelle in the 9th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Deus Ex Machina's Darren Auguin got a free kick in the 15th minute. When Felix Laget came up free with the goalie in the 18th minute, the Deus Ex Machina fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Felix Laget couldn't finish the play. After a defensive mix-up in Les diables noirs's zone, Felix Laget stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Martial Laude came out of the goal and Felix Laget tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 23rd minute, Felix Laget got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The Deus Ex Machina fans' excitement grew in the 33rd match minute when Deus Ex Machina's Felix Laget looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Fabien Nunes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Thierry Henri in the 36th minute of play. Felix Laget sent away a hard shot on goal in the 37th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Felix Laget might have been able to make a better finish in the 40th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Martial Laude. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Felix Laget ran back to his position shaking his head. Joaquim Poly made in the 41st minute of the game a sloppy throw-in which Sam Bertholet however managed to control.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Felix Laget was the one to do the kick off. If Louison Vaille had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 52nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 54th minute, Thierry Henri ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Fabien Nunes was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. Felix Laget succeeded in the game's 65th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 1-2. Felix Laget received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 70th minute. Martial Laude tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The supporters of Les diables noirs booed when Deus Ex Machina was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 72 match minutes in a wonderful position. Walter Martinaud didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Felix Laget had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 77th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Louison Vaille received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Martial Laude came out and tried to block the shot, but Louison Vaille slotted it home off the left post making it 1-3 in the 80th minute. When Les diables noirs's Thierry Henri in the 85th minute got a chance for a shot 85th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Deus Ex Machina's goalie prevented a goal. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Walter Martinaud during the 85th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Les diables noirs booed when Deus Ex Machina was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 85 match minutes in a wonderful position. Walter Martinaud didn't get a good kick on the ball. Felix Laget's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 87thth minute, Martial Laude skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. If Felix Laget had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 93rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Deus Ex Machina had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
