In the 22nd minute, Rodrigo Onfroy ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Gustave Lechat was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. Royal PSG's Bacary Filloux proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 28th minute of the match, managed to save Royal PSG from getting a goal against them. William Chausson's late challenge caught a Royal PSG's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. William Chausson helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, R.C. Marseille's William Chausson got a free kick in the 53rd minute. The long shot by Bertrand Dejean in the 54th minute really tested Gustave Lechat's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. After a rather tough play, R.C. Alexandre Dubar helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to R.C. Marseille getting a freekick after 65 minutes play. Alexandre Dubar hit a great ball. R.C. Marseille's William Chausson got his second yellow card of the match in the 67th minute. The referee ordered William Chausson off the ground. Marseille's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Théodore Cordeau fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Gustave Lechat showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Théodore Cordeau in the 84th minute of the match. In the 96th minute, Théodore Cordeau hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Royal PSG succeeded in salvaging a draw, even though R.C. Marseille had controlled the match.
