The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Maurício Meireles took the ball and in the 3 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Durval Póvoas. Durval Póvoas dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. Nuno Candeias hit a great freekick 5 minutes into the match. 6 minutes into the match, MEXACOMX's goalkeeper Anselmo Mota had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Jaime Corte-Real. Carlos Leite kicked well hit freekick during the 7th minute of the match. Through an outstanding action, after 8 minutes, Anselmo Mota successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Alexandrino Junqueira kicked well hit freekick during the 9th minute of the match. Daniel Araújo was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 10th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. After 12 minutes, Lourenço Oliveira made it 0-2 with a short kick to the right side. VB-Team's Durval Póvoas tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. 16 minutes into the match, MEXACOMX's goal looked a bit too open when Gervásio Severiano came free, but Anselmo Mota reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Durval Póvoas stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Murilo Abreu's shot from short distance in the 17th minute. 20 minutes into the match, MEXACOMX's goalkeeper Anselmo Mota had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Nuno Saraiva. A collision led to VB-Team getting a freekick after 22 minutes play. Gervásio Severiano hit a great ball. In the 25th minute of the game Francisco Paixão made a throw-in which Nuno Saraiva played forward. Anselmo Mota made an important save on a dangerous shot by Gervásio Severiano in the 26th minute. After 26 minutes, Lourenço Oliveira mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the MEXACOMX and the VB-Team players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to MEXACOMX getting a freekick after 26 minutes play. Lourenço Oliveira hit a great ball. In the 29th minute, Nuno Saraiva left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The VB-Team fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-2. Carlos Leite kicked well hit freekick during the 33rd minute of the match. Anselmo Mota showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Nuno Saraiva, who was totally free with the ball in the 34th minute. 34 minutes into the game, VB-Team's Nuno Saraiva nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Anselmo Mota made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-2. Lourenço Oliveira sent away a hard shot on goal in the 36th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Murilo Abreu in the 38th minute of play forced VB-Team's goalkeeper Durval Póvoas to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Durval Póvoas made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lourenço Oliveira in the 39th minute of play. Nicolau Zambujal hit a great freekick 42 minutes into the match. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Nuno Saraiva was the one to do the kick off. After a rather tough play, VB-Team's 俞克鸿 got a free kick in the 54th minute. In the 56th minute Lourenço Oliveira shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Durval Póvoas saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. VB-Team's Durval Póvoas proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 58th minute of the match, managed to save VB-Team from getting a goal against them. 60 minutes into the match, VB-Team's goal looked a bit too open when Lourenço Oliveira came free, but Durval Póvoas reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Jaime Corte-Real charged in rather forcefully in the 60th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Jaime Corte-Real the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, VB-Team's Jaime Corte-Real got a free kick in the 60th minute. Durval Póvoas showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Lourenço Oliveira, who was totally free with the ball in the 61st minute. In the 62nd minute, Lourenço Oliveira reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Durval Póvoas. The goal made the score 2-3. If Murilo Abreu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 64th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Murilo Abreu kicked well hit freekick during the 65th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gervásio Severiano in the 71st minute of play forced MEXACOMX's goalkeeper Anselmo Mota to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 75th minute, Avelino Cunha hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Durval Póvoas took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Lourenço Oliveira, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 87 minutes into the match, VB-Team's goal looked a bit too open when Murilo Abreu came free, but Durval Póvoas reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 88 played minutes MEXACOMX got a freekick which was hit by Catarino Vilela. Gervásio Severiano received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 92nd minute. Anselmo Mota tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 95 minutes of play, VB-Team's Jaime Corte-Real made it 3-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Anselmo Mota was left in no man's land by his defense there! Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
