Spectators: 161 (Terracing: 121, Seating: 37, VIP seats: 3) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Cláudio Balsemão got the match started through his kick off. Horácio Pedroso kicked well hit freekick during the 4th minute of the match. After having played for 4 minutes, Cássio Portugal managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Garanhão do SUL's supporters crossed their fingers, but Cássio Portugal was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 12 minutes into the match, Sporting Clube de Gaya's Jorge Lisboa sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Torcato Bentes narrowly saved just below the crossbar. A collision led to Garanhão do SUL getting a freekick after 12 minutes play. André Roriz hit a great ball. Manuel Porto received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 16th minute. Torcato Bentes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Torcato Bentes stood somewhat misplaced when Manuel Porto came free in front of goal and shot 3-0 to the left of him in the 18 minute. If Jorge Lisboa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. When the match had gone on for 26 minutes, Manuel Porto put it in 4-0 from a short distance just to the right of Torcato Bentes. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Salvador Lousada during the 29th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Salvador Lousada hit a great freekick 29 minutes into the match. Torcato Bentes was a little too slow when Manuel Porto got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 33rd minute. The score was now 5-0. After 36 played minutes Garanhão do SUL got a freekick which was hit by Salvador Lousada. In the 37th minute Manuel Porto shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Torcato Bentes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Sporting Clube de Gaya's António Trubin played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by António Gama in the 38th minute of play. In the 38th minute António Gama shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but António Trubin saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Manuel Portos short, quick shot in the 40thth minute got Torcato Bentes to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. When Alberto Domingues fell near the penalty area in the 46th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Garanhão do SUL's protests and gave Alberto Domingues a yellow card for diving instead. In the 46th minute, Alberto Domingues hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Torcato Bentes made a fantastic save in the 49th minute, when Jorge Lisboa sent off a good shot on target. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 5-0 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Manuel Porto made a kick off. Cláudio Balsemão fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 52nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without António Trubin having to interfere. André Roriz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 57th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Leonel Messi in the 61st minute of play forced Sporting Clube de Gaya's goalkeeper António Trubin to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. António Trubin made an important save on a dangerous shot by Leonel Messi in the 65th minute. In the last second António Trubin throw himself and got hold of the ball when Leonel Messi in the 65thth minute from his position got away a shot towards the right post. António Trubin showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cláudio Balsemão in the 66th minute of the match. Garanhão do SUL made a substitution. Catarino Macena replaced Cláudio Balsemão. Torcato Bentes stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Manuel Porto's shot from short distance in the 77th minute. Manuel Porto sent away a hard shot on goal in the 80th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a rather tough play, Sporting Clube de Gaya's Paulino Maltez got a free kick in the 83rd minute. Jorge Lisboa received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 85th minute. Torcato Bentes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 87 minutes, Paulino Maltez made it 8-0 with a short kick to the right side. Garanhão do SUL's Torcato Bentes tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. 94 minutes into the game, Cássio Portugal threw the ball into play from the sideline. Sporting Clube de Gaya's Isaac Göransson quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. If Paulino Maltez had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 95th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
