Christopher Benscheider made a fantastic save in the 45th minute, when Wim Vits sent off a good shot on target. 46 minutes into the game, Tommy Van Turnhout was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Portus Ganda's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Sc Ajax Hirtenberg the free kick. Tony Vanbuyten made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rolando Ottonello in the 47th minute of play. After the first half Sc Ajax Hirtenberg were leading 1-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.
The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Rolando Ottonello to strike the kick off in the second half. Markus Kahofers short, quick shot in the 51stth minute got Tony Vanbuyten to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. With a little luck, Portus Ganda's Tony Vanbuyten got control of the ball when Markus Kahofer tried to sneak it across the goal line. After 55 minutes of play, Sc Ajax Hirtenberg's Markus Kahofer made it 1-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Tony Vanbuyten was left in no man's land by his defense there! Portus Ganda's Tony Vanbuyten proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 72nd minute of the match, managed to save Portus Ganda from getting a goal against them. In the 75th minute, Sc Ajax Hirtenberg's Aygün Yüksel ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Tony Vanbuyten. Tony Vanbuyten yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-7. In the 78th match minute, Sc Ajax Hirtenberg was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Markus Kahofer to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rolando Ottonello in the 94th minute of play forced Portus Ganda's goalkeeper Tony Vanbuyten to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, Portus Ganda's Rolf Stevens got a free kick in the 95th minute. After having played for 96 minutes, Markus Kahofer managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Sc Ajax Hirtenberg's supporters crossed their fingers, but Markus Kahofer was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Sc Ajax Hirtenberg's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
