Júlio Porto stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Pedrão Cunha's shot from short distance in the 8th minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Franklin Alves during the 19th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Franklin Alves kicked well hit freekick during the 19th minute of the match. César Vergílio hit a great freekick 21 minutes into the match. In the 22nd minute, Nelsinho Nóbrega sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Aracatiara EC's Mario Radius didn't even have to move. In the 26th minute, Frank Campidelis left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Fúria Futebol Clube fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. After 28 played minutes Aracatiara EC got a freekick which was hit by César Vergílio. Mario Radius acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 29th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Nelsinho Nóbrega. Nelson Amaral took the ball and in the 31 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Júlio Porto. Júlio Porto dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. 35 minutes had been played when some careless play by Fúria Futebol Clube's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Pedrão Cunha was slow to take the kick. During this time Aracatiara EC's players had a chance to rest. Pedrão Cunha made a great header on Aracatiara EC's corner, it was just that Fúria Futebol Clube's Júlio Porto managed to reach the ball for a save. After a rather tough play, Aracatiara EC's Pedrão Cunha got a free kick in the 37th minute. In the 39th minute, Nelsinho Nóbrega got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Fúria Futebol Clube's Júlio Porto played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nelson Amaral in the 42nd minute of play. The supporters of Aracatiara EC booed when Fúria Futebol Clube was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 46 match minutes in a wonderful position. Nelsinho Nóbrega didn't get a good kick on the ball. 47 minutes into the game, Gil Tróia was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Fúria Futebol Clube's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Aracatiara EC the free kick. In the 47th minute, Gil Tróia hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 48 played minutes, Aracatiara EC's Pedrão Cunha shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Júlio Porto came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Aracatiara EC reached it.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Nelson Amaral stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Nelson Amaral received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 51st minute. Júlio Porto tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 53rd minute, one of Aracatiara EC:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Aracatiara EC. In the 54th minute there was a penalty for Fúria Futebol Clube. Nelsinho Nóbrega stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Mario Radius. 2-1. 58 minutes into the match, Fúria Futebol Clube's goal looked a bit too open when Pedrão Cunha came free, but Júlio Porto reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 61st minute, Nelson Amaral managed to get in a good position for a shot. Aracatiara EC's supporters rose to their feet, but Nelson Amaral was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Júlio Porto breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. A collision led to Fúria Futebol Clube getting a freekick after 66 minutes play. Juninho Paranaense hit a great ball. Doriva Paraense received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 67th minute. Júlio Porto tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 74th minute, Maurinho Furlan reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Júlio Porto. The goal made the score 2-3. Nelson Amaral struck a weak shot in the 88th minute. Júlio Porto didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Aracatiara EC. Nelson Amaral kicked well hit freekick during the 93rd minute of the match. Aracatiara EC's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
