With a couple of smart ball manuevers Simão Machado in the 12th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Jean da Silva saved Brasilino from getting behind. After a rather tough play, Alvinegro de Tupã's Simão Machado got a free kick in the 13th minute. In the 14th minute of the match Benjamin Vasconcelos sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Augusto Alcântara skillfully saved the ball. Renatinho Braga kicked well hit freekick during the 15th minute of the match. Amílton Sena could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 17th minute of the match, but Augusto Alcântara made a huge save. Augusto Alcântara showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Amílton Sena, who was totally free with the ball in the 21st minute. After 42 played minutes, Brasilino's Bernardo Porto shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Augusto Alcântara came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Brasilino reached it. With an all-out effort, Brasilino's Augusto Alcântara threw himself towards the right post 45 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Amílton Sena, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 3-0 at half-time.
Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Nilson Esteves to make the kick off. Alvinegro de Tupã's Augusto Alcântara played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Narciso de Carvalho in the 54th minute of play. Augusto Alcântara made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Carlos Eduardo Maranhense in the 56th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Alvinegro de Tupã's zone, Carlos Eduardo Maranhense stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Augusto Alcântara came out of the goal and Carlos Eduardo Maranhense tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Nilson Esteves sent away a hard shot on goal in the 62nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Simão Machado came up free with the goalie in the 67th minute, the Alvinegro de Tupã fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Simão Machado couldn't finish the play. 68 minutes into the game, Bernardo Porto was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Brasilino's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Alvinegro de Tupã the free kick. After 68 played minutes Brasilino got a freekick which was hit by Bernardo Porto. After a rather tough play, Brasilino's Thiago de Mendonça got a free kick in the 72nd minute. Jean da Silva acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 73rd minute, took the ball on the long shot from Tostão Branco. Benjamin Vasconcelos hit a great freekick 74 minutes into the match. 76 minutes into the match, Alvinegro de Tupã's goal looked a bit too open when Amílton Sena came free, but Augusto Alcântara reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nilson Esteves in the 77th minute of play forced Alvinegro de Tupã's goalkeeper Augusto Alcântara to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
