An unexpectedly hard shot by Dorival Matorin in the 8th minute of play forced Crisólia FBPA's goalkeeper Glauco Marinho to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 14th minute Dorival Matorin shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Glauco Marinho saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Glauco Marinho made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dorival Matorin in the 14th minute of play. In the 16th match minute, Crisólia FBPA was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Clóvis da Rocha to maneuver through the defense. After a rather tough play, Crisólia FBPA's Jano da Rocha got a free kick in the 22nd minute. 26 minutes into the game, Osvaldo Vergílio was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Crisólia FBPA's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Figueira SC FSCMZ the free kick. Figueira SC FSCMZ's Kléberson Abraão played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Luiz Fernando Furlan in the 69th minute of play. 76 minutes into the match, Figueira SC FSCMZ's goal looked a bit too open when Luiz Fernando Furlan came free, but Kléberson Abraão reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 79 played minutes Crisólia FBPA got a freekick which was hit by Ramiro Meireles. In the 92nd minute, Luiz Fernando Furlan ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Kléberson Abraão was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
