Emerson Prado started the match with the kick off. The supporters of BOTAFOGOJF-FDFDF booed when F.C. Carmo De Kiev was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 4 match minutes in a wonderful position. José Carlos Recife didn't get a good kick on the ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by André Luís Veiga during the 6th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 6th minute, André Luís Veiga hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Luisinho Mattos sent away a hard shot on goal in the 7th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Silas Leal fell near the penalty area in the 9th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored BOTAFOGOJF-FDFDF's protests and gave Silas Leal a yellow card for diving instead. In a very dangerous position, a player in BOTAFOGOJF-FDFDF fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 8th minute. Penalty! Andrézinho Porto had in the 10thth minute some difficulties stopping Claudinho Neves's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. 10 minutes into the match, Claudinho Neves had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Andrézinho Porto. BOTAFOGOJF-FDFDF's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Claudinho Neves was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. When the match had gone on for 12 minutes, José Carlos Recife put it in 0-2 from a short distance just to the right of Andrézinho Porto. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling José Carlos Recife in the 18th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Andrézinho Porto prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 23rd minute, Jean Souza hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 25th minute Emerson Prado shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Andrézinho Porto saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A collision led to BOTAFOGOJF-FDFDF getting a freekick after 29 minutes play. Remo Teixeira hit a great ball. Andrézinho Porto showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from José Carlos Recife in the 30th minute of the match. Andrézinho Porto made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Luisinho Mattos in the 35th minute of play. In the 36th minute the ball was on its way in behind BOTAFOGOJF-FDFDF's goalkeeper Andrézinho Porto, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. José Carlos Recife fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 38th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Andrézinho Porto having to interfere. The supporters of F.C. Carmo De Kiev booed when BOTAFOGOJF-FDFDF was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 42 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dinei Medeiros didn't get a good kick on the ball. The BOTAFOGOJF-FDFDF players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. F.C. Carmo De Kiev were winning 0-3.

The wind increased when Remo Teixeira made the kick off in the second half. José Carlos Recife received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 54th minute. Andrézinho Porto tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Emerson Prado had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 57th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 58 minutes into the game, Thiago Arantes was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. F.C. Carmo De Kiev's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave BOTAFOGOJF-FDFDF the free kick. After a rather tough play, BOTAFOGOJF-FDFDF's Luiz Guilherme Félix got a free kick in the 59th minute. BOTAFOGOJF-FDFDF's Andrézinho Porto played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Luisinho Mattos in the 63rd minute of play. 0-4 became the score in the 65th minute when José Carlos Recife elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. Luisinho Mattos recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 71st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. José Carlos Recife could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 73rd minute of the match, but Andrézinho Porto made a huge save. Dinei Medeiros hit a great freekick 76 minutes into the match. Andrézinho Porto made an important save on a dangerous shot by José Carlos Recife in the 78th minute. In the 81st minute, José Carlos Recife got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. José Carlos Recife who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 85thth minute tested the skills of Andrézinho Porto when he managed to save the team from getting behind. When José Carlos Recife came up free with the goalie in the 88th minute, the F.C. Carmo De Kiev fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that José Carlos Recife couldn't finish the play. If Luisinho Mattos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Luizinho Furlan during the 93rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. F.C. Carmo De Kiev's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
