FPRMZ's goal looked a bit too open when Breno Pernambucano came free, but Jeremias de Azevedo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Dadá Domingues showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gilmar Paraense in the 35th minute of the match. Jeremias de Azevedo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fred Branco in the 36th minute of play. With his leg Jeremias de Azevedo managed to avoid a goal in the 45thth minute, when Magic Canhotas FC -DMZ-'s Fred Branco fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Magic Canhotas FC -DMZ-'s Dadá Domingues played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cafu Pimenta in the 46th minute of play. After the first half Nabucodonosor E.C. FPRMZ were leading 0-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Fred Branco made a kick off. FPRMZ was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Flávio Toledo to maneuver through the defense. Magic Canhotas FC -DMZ-'s supporters rose to their feet, but Andrézinho Cunha was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post.
