But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Elano Madureira couldn't finish the play. After some careless play in the EC Fragata defense, Luciano de Lima kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Rodolfo Santos. The EC Fragata fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Rodolfo Santos should have stopped the shot. Rodolfo Santos showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Luciano de Lima in the 33rd minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Luciano de Lima in the 33rd minute of play forced EC Fragata's goalkeeper Rodolfo Santos to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Luís Guilherme Nogueira hit a great freekick 34 minutes into the match. Márcio Barral showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alan Antunes in the 36th minute of the match. Tomé Mendes could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 38th minute of the match, but Márcio Barral made a huge save. 40 minutes into the match, Tarrasque Voador F.C.'s goalkeeper Márcio Barral had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Tomé Mendes. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

After a defensive mix-up in EC Fragata's zone, Luciano de Lima stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Rodolfo Santos came out of the goal and Luciano de Lima tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Márcio Barral took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gilmar Damião, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Luís Guilherme Nogueira during the 57th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, Tarrasque Voador F.C.'s Luís Guilherme Nogueira got a free kick in the 58th minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Tomé Mendes in the 60th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Márcio Barral prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 63rd match minute, Tarrasque Voador F.C. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Marcelo Valladares to maneuver through the defense. Jeferson Cunha fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 64th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rodolfo Santos having to interfere. In the 68th minute Antônio Alcântara shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Márcio Barral saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 72nd minute, Cesinha Trancoso got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After 94 minutes of play, Tarrasque Voador F.C.'s Luciano de Lima made it 2-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Rodolfo Santos was left in no man's land by his defense there! The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
