The referee ignored Golden State Warriors's protests and gave Adriano Rezende a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Botinho FC booed when Golden State Warriors was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 5 match minutes in a wonderful position. Adriano Rezende didn't get a good kick on the ball. Iuri de Alcântara showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Zézinho Bittencourt in the 6th minute of the match. Zézinho Bittencourt fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 10th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Iuri de Alcântara having to interfere. The supporters of Botinho FC booed when Golden State Warriors was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 14 match minutes in a wonderful position. Délio Correia didn't get a good kick on the ball. Iuri de Alcântara stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Elder Sarmento's shot from short distance in the 16th minute. If Elder Sarmento had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 17th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Hílton Magalhães made a fantastic save in the 21st minute, when Adriano Rezende sent off a good shot on target. Botinho FC's Hílton Magalhães played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Enio da Cunha in the 23rd minute of play. In the 28thth minute of the game Zézinho Bittencourt who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Golden State Warriors's Iuri de Alcântara was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 29 minutes into the game, Válter Saraiva was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Golden State Warriors's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Botinho FC the free kick. After a rather tough play, Golden State Warriors's Válter Saraiva got a free kick in the 29th minute. 31 minutes into the match, Golden State Warriors's goal looked a bit too open when Elder Sarmento came free, but Iuri de Alcântara reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Zézinho Bittencourt sent away a hard shot on goal in the 34th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 36th match minute, Golden State Warriors was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Enio da Cunha to maneuver through the defense. After having played for 39 minutes, Elder Sarmento managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Botinho FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Elder Sarmento was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Zézinho Bittencourt in the 40th minute of play forced Golden State Warriors's goalkeeper Iuri de Alcântara to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Elder Sarmento had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 41st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 45th minute, Elder Sarmento managed to get in a good position for a shot. Botinho FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Elder Sarmento was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Iuri de Alcântara breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Zézinho Bittencourt was the one to do the kick off. After 51 played minutes Golden State Warriors got a freekick which was hit by Lucas Camargo. Iuri de Alcântara made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Zézinho Bittencourt in the 55th minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 62nd minute, Elder Sarmento managed to get in a good position for a shot. Botinho FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Elder Sarmento was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Iuri de Alcântara breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Zézinho Bittencourt had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 63rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The audience thought a goal was coming when Antônio Carlos Branco got free with Iuri de Alcântara in the 65th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Délio Correia during the 66th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Délio Correia hit a great freekick 66 minutes into the match. After 67 played minutes Botinho FC got a freekick which was hit by Cássio Diniz. In the 72nd minute Adriano Rezende shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hílton Magalhães saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Adriano Rezende in the 74th minute of play forced Botinho FC's goalkeeper Hílton Magalhães to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Golden State Warriors's zone, Christiano Rezende stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Iuri de Alcântara came out of the goal and Christiano Rezende tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The supporters of Botinho FC booed when Golden State Warriors was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 77 match minutes in a wonderful position. Benjamin de Lara didn't get a good kick on the ball. Elder Sarmento struck a weak shot in the 80th minute. Iuri de Alcântara didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Botinho FC. Paulo Renato Carioca hit a great freekick 87 minutes into the match. In the 93rd minute, Zézinho Bittencourt left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Botinho FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. Botinho FC played a much better game than Golden State Warriors and deserved their victory. The Golden State Warriors players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
