The Fluminense Football Club fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Arnaldo Toledo should have stopped the shot. A collision led to ADM Taquaras getting a freekick after 75 minutes play. Michel Cannavaro hit a great ball. In the 79th minute, Bruninho Mandrak left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The ADM Taquaras fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 4-0. Frédson Amaral might have been able to make a better finish in the 83rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Michel Neuer. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Frédson Amaral ran back to his position shaking his head. Jânio Vaz charged in rather forcefully in the 85th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Jânio Vaz the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Jânio Vaz hit a great freekick 85 minutes into the match. The supporters of Fluminense Football Club booed when ADM Taquaras was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 90 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mané de Lima didn't get a good kick on the ball. Michel Neuer acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 91st minute, took the ball on the long shot from Elói de Queirós. Arnaldo Toledo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Michel Ibrahimovic, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The ADM Taquaras fans cheered their team off the field, for while Fluminense Football Club had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
