Duda Favoretto made in the 9th minute of the game a quick throw-in and Carlos Alberto Massa immediately put the ball in play. 15 minutes into the match, Facopo FBPA's goal looked a bit too open when Luiz Guilherme Neves came free, but Osvaldinho Moreno reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Luiz Guilherme Neves was extremely unlucky when he, in the 27th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. A collision led to Clube Atletico Alagoano getting a freekick after 29 minutes play. Diogo Leal hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jorge Amaral in the 30th minute of play forced Clube Atletico Alagoano's goalkeeper Afonsinho Nunes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When the match had gone on for 31 minutes, Jorge Amaral put it in 0-1 from a short distance just to the right of Afonsinho Nunes. Jorge Amaral might have been able to make a better finish in the 34th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Afonsinho Nunes. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Jorge Amaral ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 34th minute Jorge Amaral shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Afonsinho Nunes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 40 minutes into the game, Clube Atletico Alagoano's Luiz Guilherme Neves nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Osvaldinho Moreno made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Valdomiro Marques during the 47th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The referee gave Facopo FBPA a penalty, 48 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Duda Favoretto, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Clube Atletico Alagoano's Afonsinho Nunes. 1-2.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Luiz Guilherme Neves was the one to do the kick off. After having played for 54 minutes, Luís Brito managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Clube Atletico Alagoano's supporters crossed their fingers, but Luís Brito was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 57th match minute, Clube Atletico Alagoano was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Joel Palmeira to maneuver through the defense. After a defensive mix-up in Facopo FBPA's zone, Luiz Guilherme Neves stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Osvaldinho Moreno came out of the goal and Luiz Guilherme Neves tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Afonsinho Nunes made a fantastic save in the 62nd minute, when Jorge Amaral sent off a good shot on target. Tiaguinho de Lara kicked well hit freekick during the 72nd minute of the match. Jorge Amaral sent away a hard shot on goal in the 80th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. 80 minutes into the match, Clube Atletico Alagoano's goalkeeper Afonsinho Nunes had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Jorge Amaral. Tiaguinho de Lara's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Afonsinho Nunes read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 87th minute of play. In the 88th minute of the match Facopo FBPA got a corner. Clube Atletico Alagoano's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Duda Favoretto ran over to the corner to take the kick. Duda Favoretto sent away a hard shot on goal in the 90th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After a rather tough play, Clube Atletico Alagoano's Luís Brito got a free kick in the 97th minute.
