Jarbas da Silveira recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 3rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a rather tough play, Xapetuba Futebol Clube's Laerte Ramalho got a free kick in the 7th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 15th minute, Amílton Munhoz managed to get in a good position for a shot. Mundial EC's supporters rose to their feet, but Amílton Munhoz was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Célio do Valle breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When Jarbas da Silveira fell near the penalty area in the 20th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Xapetuba Futebol Clube's protests and gave Jarbas da Silveira a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Mundial EC booed when Xapetuba Futebol Clube was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 20 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jarbas da Silveira didn't get a good kick on the ball. Amílton Munhoz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 21st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Célio do Valle having to interfere. Célio do Valle was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Nils Bengtsson showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-0 in the 25 minute of play. Laerte Ramalho fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 28th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Raphael Penha having to interfere. 34 minutes into the game, Will de Backer was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Mundial EC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Xapetuba Futebol Clube the free kick. Amílton Munhoz spun around in front of the goal 39 minutes in the game, and got away a shot that, to his disappointment, went to the left of Xapetuba Futebol Clube's goal. André Balada fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 44th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Célio do Valle having to interfere. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

With a little luck, Mundial EC's Raphael Penha got control of the ball when Jacinto Paraíba tried to sneak it across the goal line. 58 minutes into the match, Xapetuba Futebol Clube's goal looked a bit too open when Amílton Munhoz came free, but Célio do Valle reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Célio do Valle showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Nils Bengtsson, who was totally free with the ball in the 61st minute. Xapetuba Futebol Clube's Célio do Valle played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nils Bengtsson in the 64th minute of play. When Patrick Neiva came up free with the goalie in the 70th minute, the Xapetuba Futebol Clube fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Patrick Neiva couldn't finish the play. Mundial EC made a substitution. Belmiro Pontes replaced Léo Chaves. Xapetuba Futebol Clube's Aílton Cearense was substituted for Laerte Ramalho. Xapetuba Futebol Clube's Célio do Valle played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nils Bengtsson in the 73rd minute of play. 77 minutes into the match, Mundial EC's goal looked a bit too open when Aílton Cearense came free, but Raphael Penha reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 78th minute, Amílton Munhoz left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Mundial EC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-0. In the 81st minute, André Balada got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 87 minutes into the match, Xapetuba Futebol Clube's goal looked a bit too open when Amílton Munhoz came free, but Célio do Valle reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 92 minutes into the match, Mundial EC's goalkeeper Raphael Penha had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Aílton Cearense. Mundial EC were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Xapetuba Futebol Clube for a fine match.
