Yrigoyen.F.C's Eulalio Vito got a good chance for a goal in the 11th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The supporters of Yrigoyen.F.C booed when WINNING ELEVEN was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 12 match minutes in a wonderful position. Armando Pietro didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Yrigoyen.F.C's Ramiro Paul in the 13th minute got a chance for a shot 13th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Constantino Ganix was out of position in the 17 minute of play, and Armando Pietro capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Armando Pietro really showed his touch with that goal: 1-0. With a little luck, Yrigoyen.F.C's Constantino Ganix got control of the ball when Juan Riquelme tried to sneak it across the goal line. After having played for 23 minutes, Ramiro Paul managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Yrigoyen.F.C's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ramiro Paul was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 29 minutes into the match, Marcial Rafel notched a goal, 2-0, to the right of Yrigoyen.F.C's Constantino Ganix. Constantino Ganix was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Diego Milito struck a weak shot in the 39th minute. Celedonio Urtzi didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Yrigoyen.F.C. Adrian Florin hit a great freekick 41 minutes into the match. After 44 minutes, Eulalio Vito mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Yrigoyen.F.C and the WINNING ELEVEN players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 44 played minutes Yrigoyen.F.C got a freekick which was hit by Eulalio Vito. Diego Milito fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 48th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Celedonio Urtzi having to interfere. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.

In the 52nd match minute, Yrigoyen.F.C was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Pascual Vasco to maneuver through the defense. Constantino Ganix showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Juan Riquelme, who was totally free with the ball in the 62nd minute. Ramiro Paul recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 63rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. WINNING ELEVEN's Celedonio Urtzi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ramiro Paul in the 77th minute of play. After 77 minutes of play, Yrigoyen.F.C's Ramiro Paul made it 2-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Celedonio Urtzi was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 87th minute, Ramiro Paul got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When Diego Milito came up free with the goalie in the 91st minute, the Yrigoyen.F.C fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Diego Milito couldn't finish the play. The supporters of WINNING ELEVEN booed when Yrigoyen.F.C was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 93 match minutes in a wonderful position. Pascual Vasco didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpected shot in the 95th minute by Diego Milito got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. WINNING ELEVEN's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
