Spectators: 144 (Terracing: 109, Seating: 33, VIP seats: 2) Leopoldo Galtero showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sergio Caitano in the 5th minute of the match. After some careless play in the Inter de Urquiza defense, Sergio Caitano kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Leopoldo Galtero. The Inter de Urquiza fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Leopoldo Galtero should have stopped the shot. 13 minutes into the match, Gustavo Polo dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Uriel Raymon, 1-1. Sergio Caitano fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 16th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Leopoldo Galtero having to interfere. Benicio Danel fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 20th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Leopoldo Galtero having to interfere. 22 minutes into the game, Velez Sarsfield's Leonides Mero nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Leopoldo Galtero made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-2. After having played for 25 minutes, Melchor Birila managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Velez Sarsfield's supporters crossed their fingers, but Melchor Birila was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Leopoldo Galtero showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sergio Caitano, who was totally free with the ball in the 26th minute. Nestor Rami scored 1-3 in the 27th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Leopoldo Galtero, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Leopoldo Galtero showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sergio Caitano, who was totally free with the ball in the 30th minute. Sergio Caitano scored 1-4 in the 32nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Leopoldo Galtero, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 35 minutes into the match, Leonides Mero had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Leopoldo Galtero. Inter de Urquiza's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Leonides Mero was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-5. After 41 minutes of play, Velez Sarsfield's Benicio Danel made it 1-6 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Leopoldo Galtero was left in no man's land by his defense there! Ubaldo Astrada kicked well hit freekick during the 45th minute of the match. After the first half Velez Sarsfield were leading 1-6. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The wind increased when Sergio Caitano made the kick off in the second half. In the 53rd minute of the match, Leonides Mero tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Leopoldo Galtero saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Leopoldo Galtero showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sergio Caitano in the 57th minute of the match. In the 58th minute, Tadeo Eguen hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Sergio Caitano in the 60th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Leopoldo Galtero saved Inter de Urquiza from getting behind. Leopoldo Galtero made an important save on a dangerous shot by Isaac Marcones in the 61st minute. Leopoldo Galtero was a little too slow when Richard Rodrigues got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 66th minute. The score was now 1-8. In the 69th minute, Velez Sarsfield's Leonides Mero ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Leopoldo Galtero. Leopoldo Galtero yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-9. A collision led to Inter de Urquiza getting a freekick after 72 minutes play. Gerardo Matai hit a great ball. 73 minutes into the game, Sergio Caitano recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Leopoldo Galtero. Sergio Caitano showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-10. Leopoldo Galtero made an important save on a dangerous shot by Melchor Birila in the 77th minute. If Sergio Caitano had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 84th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sergio Caitano in the 85th minute of play forced Inter de Urquiza's goalkeeper Leopoldo Galtero to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 87 minutes Inter de Urquiza's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Victorio Gilesindo who took care of the corner kick. In the 92nd minute, Sergio Caitano left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Velez Sarsfield fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-13. Sergio Caitano hit a great freekick 95 minutes into the match. Velez Sarsfield's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
