In the 5th minute, Gavino Rami made a precise shot to the right of Ramon Calvino. NEWELL´S OLD BOYS's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. In the 8th minute Fernan Hug shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Guillermo Colas saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. NEWELL´S OLD BOYS's Ramon Calvino played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Taci Argün in the 9th minute of play. In the 10th minute, Gavino Rami ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Ramon Calvino was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. Ramon Calvino showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gavino Rami, who was totally free with the ball in the 22nd minute. Club Atlético Magallanes's Guillermo Colas played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Apolo Richie in the 25th minute of play. Ramon Calvino took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Taci Argün, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ramon Calvino stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Taci Argün's shot from short distance in the 28th minute. After 32 minutes of play, Club Atlético Magallanes's Gavino Rami made it 0-5 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Ramon Calvino was left in no man's land by his defense there! Guillermo Colas made a fantastic save in the 36th minute, when Alejo Horado sent off a good shot on target. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fernan Hug in the 40th minute of play forced Club Atlético Magallanes's goalkeeper Guillermo Colas to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Guillermo Colas showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Fernan Hug in the 44th minute of the match. Ramon Calvino showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Filomeno Chaime, who was totally free with the ball in the 45th minute. Taci Argün took the ball and in the 47 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Ramon Calvino. Ramon Calvino dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-6.

55 minutes into the game, Taci Argün cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-7. Ramon Calvino was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After 60th play minutes Taci Argün shot 0-8, a short shot which went by Ramon Calvino and just under the crossbar into goal. 65 minutes into the match, Club Atlético Magallanes's Filomeno Chaime sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Ramon Calvino narrowly saved just below the crossbar. If Honorio Sanchez had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 68th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 70 minutes, Taci Argün made it 0-9 with a short kick to the right side. NEWELL´S OLD BOYS's Ramon Calvino tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. The supporters of Club Atlético Magallanes booed when NEWELL´S OLD BOYS was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 76 match minutes in a wonderful position. Apolo Richie didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 77th minute, Filomeno Chaime hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 79 minutes into the game, Filomeno Chaime recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Ramon Calvino. Filomeno Chaime showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-10. Club Atlético Magallanes's Guillermo Colas played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Fernan Hug in the 83rd minute of play. 85 minutes into the game, Gavino Rami recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Ramon Calvino. Gavino Rami showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-11. 91 minutes into the game, Leandro Ignazio was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. NEWELL´S OLD BOYS's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Club Atlético Magallanes the free kick. Leandro Ignazio kicked well hit freekick during the 91st minute of the match. Taci Argün could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 92nd minute of the match, but Ramon Calvino made a huge save. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Eustacio Hitz during the 93rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. When the match had gone on for 96 minutes, Filomeno Chaime took a quick shot and it went in 0-13 without a chance for Ramon Calvino to make any attempt to save it.
