In the 6th minute Isaac Bento shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Christian Firme saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Christian Firme stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Isaac Bento's shot from short distance in the 7th minute. 9 minutes into the match, Juan Sebastian Veron's goalkeeper Christian Firme had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Teodosio Urre. When Hernan Quilino fell near the penalty area in the 9th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Club Atletico Los Andes's protests and gave Hernan Quilino a yellow card for diving instead. Hernan Quilino kicked well hit freekick during the 10th minute of the match. The supporters of Club Atletico Los Andes booed when Juan Sebastian Veron was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 12 match minutes in a wonderful position. Narciso Kusko didn't get a good kick on the ball. Damian Ramone made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Enzo Firme in the 18th minute of play. Marcial Felo struck a weak shot in the 22nd minute. Damian Ramone didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Juan Sebastian Veron. After a rather tough play, Club Atletico Los Andes's Hernan Quilino got a free kick in the 24th minute. Damian Ramone made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Enzo Firme in the 27th minute of play. 29 minutes into the match, Club Atletico Los Andes's goal looked a bit too open when Marcial Felo came free, but Damian Ramone reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Juan Sebastian Veron's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Teodosio Urre 30 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 1-0. In the 33rd minute of the match, Isaac Bento tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Christian Firme saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Juan Sebastian Veron's Christian Firme played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Isaac Bento in the 36th minute of play. Through an outstanding action, after 38 minutes, Christian Firme successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Marcial Felo to strike the kick off in the second half. Club Atletico Los Andes's Damian Ramone played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Marcial Felo in the 52nd minute of play. After 54 played minutes Club Atletico Los Andes got a freekick which was hit by Hernan Quilino. The audience thought a goal was coming when Marcial Felo got free with Damian Ramone in the 56th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Damian Ramone made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Marcial Felo in the 60th minute of play. In the 63rd match minute, Juan Sebastian Veron was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Anselmo Eder to maneuver through the defense. After 64 minutes of play Club Atletico Los Andes's Hernan Quilino was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. Hernan Quilino kicked well hit freekick during the 65th minute of the match. Juan Sebastian Veron's Christian Firme played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ceferino Lorien in the 74th minute of play. Anselmo Eder kicked well hit freekick during the 74th minute of the match. After 75 played minutes Juan Sebastian Veron got a freekick which was hit by Anselmo Eder. A collision led to Club Atletico Los Andes getting a freekick after 80 minutes play. Alvaro Rameriz hit a great ball. Teodosio Urre sent away a hard shot on goal in the 84th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a rather tough play, Juan Sebastian Veron's Victoriano Toro got a free kick in the 85th minute. Isaac Bento took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 86th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Christian Firme. Juan Sebastian Veron's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. 87 minutes into the match, Teodosio Urre notched a goal, 2-0, to the right of Juan Sebastian Veron's Christian Firme. Christian Firme was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The supporters of Juan Sebastian Veron booed when Club Atletico Los Andes was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 91 match minutes in a wonderful position. Isaac Bento didn't get a good kick on the ball. When the referee ended the match the Club Atletico Los Andes players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
